గ్రీకు భాషలో అర్ధం "పూర్తిగా చెల్లించెను".
యేసు క్రీస్తు సిలువలో ఈ మాటను పలికినప్పుడు, తండ్రి తనకిచ్చిన పనిని నెరవేర్చి సిలువలో సమాప్తము చేశాడు. Sixth Word: Sayings of Jesus on the Cross
The word "finished" in Greek means "paid in full".
By saying this phrase while he was hanging on the cross, Jesus Christ completed the task the Father had given him. "I have finished the responsibility you gave me to complete, and I have exalted you in the earth." He gave himself as a ransom for everyone, which means that Christ bore the whole cost of the debt we owed the Father by dying on the cross in our place.
Every prophecy about messaih was fulfilled through the suffering of Christ on Cross. The reason for the first coming of mesaiah was to save the lost and was accomplished. He finished the responsibility given to him by the father.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God-s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus, when he freed us from the penalty for our sins and the purpose of Jesus coming into this world was fulfilled.
"For i have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me "was completed. Now we have peace with God through Jesus and have been sanctified through him was finished. Every burden was taken up on Cross and victory over death attained and finished.
Our perfect God sacrificed himself to make us blameless and submitted to Gods will. In him alone we are holy and whole. Its only through Christ we become whole and one day will partake in His glory and be perfect as him. Amen
