Our Source of Salvation
Luke 19:9 Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
Jesus was willing to go to a tax collector-s home a man of questionable reputation and offer him salvation. He did this not because of the man-s reputation but because he was a son of Abraham. Jesus saw beyond the man-s reputation and saw his potential to become a child of God. We too are children of Abraham and Jesus sees us with the same love and mercy. No matter what our reputation or status in life. Jesus is willing to offer us salvation. We can turn to Him in repentance and faith, and He will forgive our sins and offer us a new life in Him. We can take comfort in the knowledge that Jesus loves us and offers us His salvation. We can rest in the assurance that He will never turn away from us no matter what our past or present circumstances may be. We can be encouraged to keep our faith in Him and to trust in His promises.
