తోమా జీవితంలో,
యేసు పట్ల అతనికి బలమైన విశ్వాసం ఉన్నప్పటికీ, అతను

Thomas: From Doubt to Declaration - Showcasing Faith in the Face of Uncertainty
"Jesus said to him, -Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.-" - John 20:29
Thomas, also known as "Doubting Thomas," has left a lasting impression on believers with his inspiring journey of faith. Although his moment of doubt after Jesus- resurrection stays in our minds, Thomas- story is a powerful reminder of the struggle with doubt and the limitless grace of Christ.
Throughout the Gospels, Thomas is portrayed as a loyal and passionate disciple of Jesus. He was willing to follow Jesus even to the point of death, as evidenced by his famous declaration, "Let us also go, that we may die with him" (John 11:16), in response to Jesus- decision to return to Judea despite the danger.
Despite his strong devotion to Jesus during His time on earth, Thomas faced difficulty in fully believing in the resurrection until he was able to witness Jesus firsthand. His uncertainties did not stem from a lack of trust, but rather from a yearning for physical evidence. Yet, when Jesus appeared to him and invited him to touch His wounds, Thomas responded with a powerful confession of faith, declaring, "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28). In 52AD Thomas stepped in the cost of Kerala as the first Missionary to India. Thomas was killed with a spear at St. Thomas Mount in Chennai, India on 3 July in AD 72, and his body was interred in Mylapore, Chennai, India.
Thomas- story serves as a poignant reminder that doubt is a natural component of our faith journey. It should not be viewed as a source of shame, but rather as an opportunity for growth and deeper understanding. Just as Jesus met Thomas in his state of uncertainty and provided him with the evidence he needed to believe, He meets each one of us in our doubts, offering reassurance and grace.
In light of Thomas- experience, let us also come before Jesus with our doubts and questions, confident in His welcoming nature and longing for us to strengthen our faith. And when we encounter Jesus amidst our doubts, may we, like Thomas, respond with wholehearted surrender and worship, acknowledging Him as our Lord and our God. Amen
