దమస్కు మార్గంలో పౌలు తన అనుభవాన్ని ఎప్పుడూ మర్చిపోలేదు. క్రైస్తవ విశ్వాసం కనుమరుగైపోవాలని బయదేరిన ఆయనకు "నీవు హింసించుచున్న యేసును" అనే స్వరం ప్రత్యక్షమై తన జీవితాన్ని తలకిందులు చేసింది. "నేను బ్రతికినంత కాలం క్రీస్తు వలన శ్రమలు"... తగ్గితేకాదు విస్తరిస్తే మేలు అనే అనుభవంలోకి మార్చేసింది. ఈ అనుభవం క్రీస్తుకొరకైన శ్రమలలో పాలుపొందాలనే హృదయ మంట.
ఈ శ్రమలు ఎప్పుడు ముగుస్తాయో?
నా జీవితం ఎప్పుడు సాఫీగా సాగిపోతుందో? అనే ఆలోచన మనందరికీ ఉంటుంది. శ్రమ లేకుండా విజయం ఎక్కడిది? విజయబాట ముళ్ళబాటే కదా!
క్రీస్తు యొక్క శ్రమలు విస్తరిస్తున్నప్పుడు ప్రతి శ్రమానుభవంలో పొందిన విజయాలే మన జీవితంలో ఆదరణ కలుగజేస్తాయి.
సంధి అనే ఆలోచన లేకుండా "ఎల్లపుడు సమరమే" అనే ధ్యేయం కలిగిన సైనికుడు మొదటి వరుసలోనే యుద్ధం చేస్తాడు. వెనకడుగు వేసిన సైనికుడు మరణించిన వానితో సమానం. కనుచూపుమేరల్లో మరణం పొంచి ఉన్నా గెలుపుకు ఓటమికి మధ్య జరిగే ఈ పోరాటంలో, ఎల్లప్పుడూ గెలుపే ధ్యేయంగా అడుగులు ముందుకు వేస్తాడు.
యుద్ధరంగంలో శత్రువు ఆయుధాలకు ఎదురు వెళ్ళి తన ప్రాణాన్ని సహితం లెక్కచేయని వాడినే కదా యుధ్దవీరుడు అంటాము. దేవునికి ఇటువంటి సిలువ సైనికులు కావాలి.
నేనంటాను, క్రీస్తు కొరకైన మంట కలిగియున్నవాడే క్రైస్తవుడు; అలాంటివారే ఆయనకు కావాలి.
శ్రమ నీ ఆయుధం ఐతే విజయం నీ బానిస అవుతుంది. శ్రమ విస్తరించేకొద్దీ శ్రమకు ఎదురు వెళ్ళి అపవాదిని అణగద్రొక్కి పోరాడే అనుభవం కావాలి. ఈ శక్తి కేవలం ఆధ్యాత్మికతలోనే పొందగలం. అనేకసార్లు దేవుడు మన జీవితాల్లో గొల్యతులాంటి శ్రమలను పెడుతుంటాడు... ఎంతుకంటే, దావీదులాంటి వీరులను మనలో చూచుకోడానికి. అయితే, విశ్వాస జీవితంలో శ్రమలు విస్తరించిన కొలది, క్రీస్తు ద్వారా పొందిన ఆదరణ మనలను విజయవంతులను చేస్తుంది.
ప్రతిపోరాటం క్రీస్తుతో ఒక శ్రమానుభవం.
For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. - 2 Corinthians 1:5.

On the way to Damascus, Paul had an unforgettable experience. His intensions of disappearing the Christian faith and persecuting those who believe, was totally changed when he encountered the voice of Jesus “I am Jesus the Nazarene, and you are persecuting me”. This voice changed his life to a paradigm shift. Now he boasts with such experience and wanting to face such sufferings with Christ even until death.
He also explains us that we much expect such sufferings and they should increase more and not to decrease in our lives. His extreme faith in Christ revels us that these sufferings comfort us and helps us to grow more in faith. Such experiences made paul to take part in Christs suffering with a heart wrenched and the same he explains us to experience it.
When we go through such tribulations, we always say these:
• When will these hardships end?
• When will my life go smoothly?
Remember, there is no success without hardships and Road to success is always covered by thorns. When we go through such experiences of sufferings with Christ, these hardships teach us life and consoles us with strengths gained from it.
A soldier with a mindset to fight and without the mindset of treaty will stand in the front line of war. A soldier who steps back is almost equal to a dead person. He knows that the death is one step ahead. But he never steps back. His determination drives him to face the raging war. In the battle between victory and defeat, death is always imminent, but warrior always steps forward which leads him to win.
The one who fights against weapons on the battlefield and does not count his life is the real warrior. God wants such warriors. I mean, the person who has a burning desire for Christ is a real Christian; God wants someone like that.
If tribulation is your weapon, then victory becomes your slave. As tribulations increase, we must gain the experience of overcoming it. This power can be gained only in complete spirituality. Many times, God puts hardships like Goliath in our lives to see heroes like David in us. However, as the tribulations in the life of faith increases and more we receive comfort from Christ, it makes us successful in all such tribulations and we can overcome it.
Experience: Every struggle is an experience of suffering with Christ. Face it to Overcome it.
