1. దావీదు కుమారుడైన సొలొమోను తన రాజ్యమందు స్థిరపరచబడగా అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనితో కూడ ఉండి అతనిని బహు ఘనుడైన రాజునుగా చేసెను.

1. And Solomon, son of David, strengthened himself over his kingdom, and, Yahweh, his God, was with him, and made him surpassingly great.

2. And Solomon gave word to all Israel to the rulers of thousands, and hundreds, and to the judges, and to all the leaders of all Israel, ancestral chiefs;

3. సొలొమోను సహస్రాధిపతులకును శతాధిపతులకును న్యాయాధిపతులకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పితరుల యిండ్లకు పెద్దలైనవారి కందరికిని, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకందరికిని ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా సమాజకులందరును

3. and Solomon, and all the convocation with him, went to the high place that was in Gibeon, for, there, was the tent of meeting of God, which Moses the servant of Yahweh made in the desert.

4. సొలొమోనుతో కూడ కలసి గిబియోనునందుండు బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు పోయిరి; దావీదు దేవుని మందసమును కిర్యత్యారీమునుండి తెప్పించి యెరూషలేమునందు దానికొరకు గుడారమువేసి తాను సిద్ధపరచిన స్థలమున నుంచెను.

4. Howbeit, the ark of God, had David brought up from Kiriath-jearim, into the place that David had prepared for it, for he had pitched for it a tent, in Jerusalem.

5. హూరు కుమారుడైన ఊరికి పుట్టిన బెసలేలు చేసిన యిత్తడి బలిపీఠము అక్కడ యెహోవా నివాసస్థలము ఎదుట ఉండగా సొలొమోనును సమాజపువారును దానియొద్ద విచారణ చేసిరి.

5. Also, the altar of bronze that Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur had made, was there before the habitation of Yahweh, so Solomon and the convocation sought it.

6. సమాజపు గుడారము ముందర యెహోవా సన్నిధినుండి ఇత్తడి బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు సొలొమోను పోయి దానిమీద వెయ్యి దహనబలులను అర్పించెను.

6. And Solomon went up thither, unto the altar of bronze before Yahweh, which belonged to the tent of meeting, and caused to go up thereon a thousand ascending-sacrifices.

7. ఆ రాత్రియందు దేవుడు సొలొమోనునకు ప్రత్యక్షమైనేను నీకు ఏమి ఇయ్యగోరుదువో దాని అడుగుమని సెలవియ్యగా

7. During that night, God appeared unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

8. సొలొమోను దేవునితో ఈలాగు మనవిచేసెనునీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదుయెడల బహుగా కృప చూపి అతని స్థానమందు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించి యున్నావు గనుక

8. And Solomon said unto God, Thou thyself, didst deal with David my father in great lovingkindness, and hast made me king in his stead.

9. దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదునకు చేసిన వాగ్దానమును స్థిరపరచుము; నేల ధూళియంత విస్తారమైన జనులమీద నీవు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించియున్నావు

9. Now, O Yahweh Elohim, let thy word with David my father be brought to pass, for, thou, hast made me king over a people, for multitude like the dust of the earth.

10. ఈ నీ గొప్ప జనమునకు న్యాయము తీర్చ శక్తిగలవాడెవడు? నేను ఈ జనులమధ్యను ఉండి కార్యములను చక్కపెట్టునట్లు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని నాకు దయచేయుము.

10. Now, wisdom and knowledge, give thou unto me, that I may go out before this people, and may come in, for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11. అందుకు దేవుడు సొలొమోనుతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునీవు ఈ ప్రకారము యోచించు కొని, ఐశ్వర్యమునైనను సొమ్మునైనను ఘనతనైనను నీ శత్రువుల ప్రాణమునైనను దీర్ఘాయువునైనను అడుగక, నేను నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించిన నా జనులకు న్యాయము తీర్చుటకు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని అడిగి యున్నావు.

11. And God said unto Solomon, Because this was near thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, or the life of them that hate thee, nor even, many days, hast thou asked, but hast asked for thyself, wisdom and knowledge, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king,

12. కాబట్టి జ్ఞానమును తెలివియు నీ కియ్య బడును, నీకన్న ముందుగానున్న రాజులకైనను నీ తరువాత వచ్చు రాజులకైనను కలుగని ఐశ్వర్యమును సొమ్మును ఘనతను నీకిచ్చెదను అని చెప్పెను.

12. wisdom and knowledge, are granted unto thee, moreover, riches and wealth and honour, will I give thee, such as the kings who were before thee did not possess, neither shall they who come after thee possess the like.

13. పిమ్మట సొలొమోను గిబియోనులోనుండు సమాజపు గుడారము ఎదుటనున్న బలిపీఠమును విడచి యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులను ఏలుచుండెను.

13. And Solomon came from the high place that was in Gibeon unto Jerusalem, from before the tent of meeting, and reigned over Israel.

14. సొలొమోను రథములను గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను సమ కూర్చెను, వెయ్యిన్ని నాలుగువందలు రథములును పండ్రెండు వేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులును అతనికి ఉండెను; వీరిలో కొందరిని అతడు రథములుండు పట్టణములలో ఉంచెను, కొందరిని తన రాజసన్నిధిని ఉండుటకు యెరూషలేములో ఉంచెను.

14. And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen, and came to have a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he settled them in chariot cities, and with the king, in Jerusalem.

15. రాజు యెరూషలేమునందు వెండి బంగారములను రాళ్లంత విస్తారముగాను, సరళ మ్రానులను షెఫేల ప్రదేశముననున్న మేడిచెట్లంత విస్తారముగాను సమకూర్చెను.

15. And the king made silver and gold in Jerusalem, like stones, and, cedars, made he like the sycomores that are in the lowland, for abundance.

16. సొలొమోనునకుండు గుఱ్ఱములు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తేబడెను, రాజు వర్తకులు ఒక్కొక్క గుంపునకు నియామకమైన ధర నిచ్చి గుంపులు గుంపులుగా కొని తెప్పించిరి.

16. And the horses which Solomon had were, an export, out of Egypt, and a, company of royal merchants, used to fetch a drove, at a price;

17. వారు ఐగుప్తునుండి కొని తెచ్చిన రథమొకటింటికి ఆరువందల తులముల వెండియు గుఱ్ఱమొకటింటికి నూటఏబది తులముల వెండియు నిచ్చిరి; హిత్తీయుల రాజులందరికొరకును సిరియా రాజులకొరకును వారు ఆ ధరకే వాటిని తీసికొనిరి.

17. and they built and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot, for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse, for a hundred and fifty, and, so, for all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria, by their means, brought they them forth.
