1. తరువాత మోషే అహరోనులు వచ్చి ఫరోను చూచి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా అరణ్యములో నాకు ఉత్సవము చేయుటకు నా జనమును పోనిమ్మని ఆజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాడనిరి.

1. After these things Moses and Aaron went in, and said to Pharao: Thus saith the Lord God of Israel: Let my people go that they may sacrifice to me in the desert.

2. ఫరో నేను అతని మాట విని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను పోనిచ్చుటకు యెహోవా ఎవడు? నేను యెహోవాను ఎరుగను, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను పోనీయననెను.

2. But he answered: Who is the Lord, that I should hear his voice, and let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.

3. అప్పుడు వారు హెబ్రీయుల దేవుడు మమ్మును ఎదుర్కొనెను, సెలవైన యెడల మేము అరణ్యములోనికి మూడు దినముల ప్రయాణమంత దూరముపోయి మా దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు బలి అర్పించుదము; లేని యెడల ఆయన మా మీద తెగులుతోనునైనను ఖడ్గముతోనైనను పడునేమో అనిరి.

3. And they said: The God of the Hebrews hath called us, to go three days' journey into the wilderness and to sacrifice to the Lord our God: lest a pestilence or the sword fall upon us.

4. అందుకు ఐగుప్తు రాజుమోషే అహరోనూ, ఈ జనులు తమ పనులను చేయకుండ మీరేల ఆపుచున్నారు? మీ బరువులు మోయుటకు పొండనెను.

4. The king of Egypt said to them: Why do you Moses and Aaron draw off the people from their works? Get you gone to your burdens.

5. మరియు ఫరో ఇదిగో ఈ జనము ఇప్పుడు విస్తరించియున్నది; వారు తమ బరువులను విడిచి తీరికగా నుండునట్లు మీరు చేయుచున్నారని వారితో అనెను.

5. And Pharao said: The people of the land is numerous: you see that the multitude is increased: how much more if you give them rest from their works?

6. ఆ దినమున ఫరో ప్రజలపైనున్న కార్యనియామకులకును వారి నాయకులకును ఇట్లు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను

6. Therefore he commanded the same day the overseers of the works, and the taskmasters of the people, saying:

7. ఇటుకలు చేయుటకు మీరు ఇకమీదట ఈ జనులకు గడ్డి ఇయ్యకూడదు, వారు వెళ్లి తామే గడ్డి కూర్చుకొనవలెను.

7. You shall give straw no more to the people to make brick, as before: but let them go and gather straw.

8. అయినను వారు ఇదివరకు చేసిన యిటుకల లెక్కనే వారి మీద మోపవలెను, దానిలో ఏమాత్రమును తక్కువ చేయవద్దు; వారు సోమరులు గనుక మేము వెళ్లి మా దేవునికి బలి నర్పించుటకు సెలవిమ్మని మొఱ పెట్టుచున్నారు.

8. And you shall lay upon them the task of bricks, which they did before, neither shall you diminish any thing thereof: for they are idle, and therefore they cry, saying: Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

9. ఆ మనుష్యులచేత ఎక్కువ పని చేయింపవలెను, దానిలో వారు కష్టపడవలెను, అబద్ధపు మాటలను వారు లక్ష్యపెట్టకూడదనెను.

9. Let them be oppressed, with works, and let them fulfill them: that they may not regard lying words.

10. కాబట్టి ప్రజలు కార్యనియామకులును వారి నాయకులును పోయి ప్రజలను చూచి నేను మీకు గడ్డి ఇయ్యను;

10. And the overseers of the works and the taskmasters went out and said to the people: Thus saith Pharao, I allow you no straw:

11. మీరు వెళ్లి మీకు గడ్డి యెక్కడ దొరకునో అక్కడ మీరే సంపాదించుకొనుడి, అయితే మీ పనిలో నేమాత్రమును తక్కువ చేయబడదని ఫరో సెలవిచ్చెననిరి.

11. Go, and gather it where you can find it: neither shall any thing of your work be diminished.

12. అప్పుడు ప్రజలు గడ్డికి మారుగా కొయ్య కాలు కూర్చుటకు ఐగుప్తు దేశమందంతటను చెదిరిపోయిరి.

12. And the people was scattered through all the land of Egypt to gather straw.

13. మరియు కార్యనియామకులు వారిని త్వరపెట్టి గడ్డి ఉన్నప్పటివలెనే యేనాటిపని ఆనాడే ముగించుడనిరి.

13. And the overseers of the works pressed them, saying: Fulfill your work every day as before you were wont to do when straw was given you.

14. ఫరో కార్యనియామకులు తాము ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో వారిమీద ఉంచిన నాయకులను కొట్టి ఎప్పటివలె మీ లెక్క చొప్పున ఇటుకలను నిన్న నేడు మీరు ఏల చేయించలేదని అడుగగా

14. And they that were over the works of the children of Israel were scourged by Pharao's taskmasters, saying: Why have you not made up the task of bricks both yesterday and today as before?

15. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నాయకులు ఫరో యొద్దకు వచ్చి తమ దాసుల యెడల తమరెందుకిట్లు జరిగించుచున్నారు?

15. And the officers of the children of Israel came, and cried out to Pharao, saying: Why dealest thou so with thy servants?

16. తమ దాసులకు గడ్డినియ్యరు అయితే ఇటుకలు చేయుడని మాతో చెప్పుచున్నారు; చిత్తగించుము, వారు తమరి దాసులను కొట్టుచున్నారు; అయితే తప్పిదము తమరి ప్రజలయందే యున్నదని మొఱపెట్టిరి.

16. Straw is not given us, and bricks are required of us as before: behold we thy servants are beaten with whips, and thy people is unjustly dealt withal.

17. అందుకతడు - మీరు సోమరులు మీరు సోమరులు అందుచేత మేము వెళ్లి యెహోవాకు బలినర్పించుటకు సెలవిమ్మని మీరడుగుచున్నారు.

17. And he said: You are idle, and therefore you say: Let us go and sacrifice to the Lord.

18. మీరు పొండి, పనిచేయుడి, గడ్డి మీకియ్యబడదు, అయితే ఇటుకల లెక్క మీరప్పగింపక తప్పదని చెప్పెను.

18. Go therefore, and work: straw shall not be given you, and you shall deliver the accustomed number of bricks.

19. మీ ఇటుకల లెక్కలో నేమాత్రమును తక్కువ చేయవద్దు, ఏనాటి పని ఆనాడే చేయవలెనని రాజు సెలవియ్యగా, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నాయకులు తాము దురవస్థలో పడియున్నట్లు తెలిసికొనిరి.

19. And the officers of the children of Israel saw that they were in evil case, because it was said to them: There shall not a whit be diminished of the bricks for every day.

20. వారు ఫరో యొద్దనుండి బయలుదేరి వచ్చుచు, తమ్మును ఎదుర్కొనుటకు దారిలో నిలిచియున్న మోషే అహరోనులను కలిసికొని

20. And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood over against them as they came out from Pharao:

21. యెహోవా మిమ్ము చూచి న్యాయము తీర్చును గాక; ఫరో యెదుటను అతని దాసుల యెదుటను మమ్మును అసహ్యులనుగా చేసి మమ్ము చంపుటకై వారిచేతికి ఖడ్గమిచ్చితిరని వారితో అనగా

21. And they said to them: The Lord see and judge, because you have made our savour to stink before Pharao and his servants, and you have given him a sword to kill us.

22. మోషే యెహోవా యొద్దకు తిరిగి వెళ్లి ప్రభువా, నీవేల ఈ ప్రజలకు కీడు చేసితివి? నన్నేల పంపితివి?

22. And Moses returned to the Lord, and said: Lord, why hast thou afflicted this people? wherefore hast thou sent me?

23. నేను నీ పేరట మాటలాడుటకు ఫరో యొద్దకు వచ్చినప్పటి నుండి అతడు ఈ జనులకు కీడే చేయుచున్నాడు, నీ జనులను నీవు విడిపింపను లేదనెను.

23. For since the time that I went in to Pharao to speak in thy name, he hath afflicted thy people: and thou hast not delivered them.
