1. ఆదియందు దేవుడు భూమ్యాకాశములను సృజించెను.

1. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

2. భూమి నిరాకారముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఉండెను; చీకటి అగాధ జలముపైన కమ్మియుండెను; దేవుని ఆత్మ జలములపైన అల్లాడుచుండెను.

2. The earth didn't have any shape. And it was empty. Darkness was over the surface of the ocean. At that time, the ocean covered the earth. The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3. దేవుడు వెలుగు కమ్మని పలుకగా వెలుగు కలిగెను.

3. God said, 'Let there be light.' And there was light.

4. వెలుగు మంచిదైనట్టు దేవుడు చూచెను; దేవుడు వెలుగును చీకటిని వేరుపరచెను.

4. God saw that the light was good. He separated the light from the darkness.

5. దేవుడు వెలుగునకు పగలనియు, చీకటికి రాత్రి అనియు పేరు పెట్టెను. అస్తమయమును ఉదయమును కలుగగా ఒక దినమాయెను.

5. God called the light 'day.' He called the darkness 'night.' There was evening, and there was morning. It was day one.

6. మరియు దేవుడు జలముల మధ్య నొక విశాలము కలిగి ఆ జలములను ఈ జలములను వేరుపరచును గాకని పలికెను.

6. God said, 'Let there be a huge space between the waters. Let it separate water from water.'

7. దేవుడు ఆ విశాలము చేసి విశాలము క్రింది జలములను విశాలము మీది జలములను వేరుపరపగా ఆ ప్రకారమాయెను.

7. And that's exactly what happened. God made the huge space between the waters. He separated the water that was under the space from the water that was above it.

8. దేవుడు ఆ విశాలమునకు ఆకాశమని పేరు పెట్టెను. అస్తమయమును ఉదయమును కలుగగా రెండవ దినమాయెను.

8. God called the huge space 'sky.' There was evening, and there was morning. It was day two.

9. దేవుడు ఆకాశము క్రిందనున్న జలములొకచోటనే కూర్చబడి ఆరిన నేల కనబడును గాకని పలుకగా ఆ ప్రకారమాయెను.

9. God said, 'Let the water under the sky be gathered into one place. Let dry ground appear.' And that's exactly what happened.

10. దేవుడు ఆరిన నేలకు భూమి అని పేరు పెట్టెను, జలరాశికి ఆయన సముద్రములని పేరు పెట్టెను, అది మంచిదని దేవుడు చూచెను.

10. God called the dry ground 'land.' He called the waters that were gathered together 'oceans.' And God saw that it was good.

11. దేవుడు గడ్డిని విత్తనములిచ్చు చెట్లను భూమిమీద తమ తమ జాతి ప్రకారము తమలో విత్తనములుగల ఫలమిచ్చు ఫలవృక్షములను భూమి మొలిపించుగాకని పలుకగా ఆ ప్రకార మాయెను.

11. Then God said, 'Let the land produce plants. Let them bear their own seeds. And let there be trees on the land that bear fruit with seeds in it. Let each kind of plant or tree have its own kind of seeds.' And that's exactly what happened.

12. భూమి గడ్డిని తమ తమ జాతి ప్రకారము విత్తనములిచ్చు చెట్లను, తమ తమ జాతి ప్రకారము తమలో విత్తనములుగల ఫలవృక్షములను మొలిపింపగా అది మంచిదని దేవుడు చూచెను

12. The land produced plants. Each kind of plant had its own kind of seeds. The land produced trees that bore fruit with seeds in it. Each kind of tree had its own kind of seeds. God saw that it was good.

13. అస్తమయమును ఉదయమును కలుగగా మూడవ దినమాయెను.

13. And there was evening, and there was morning. It was day three.

14. దేవుడు పగటిని రాత్రిని వేరుపరచునట్లు ఆకాశ విశాలమందు జ్యోతులు కలుగును గాకనియు, అవి సూచనలను కాలములను దిన సంవత్సరములను సూచించుటకై యుండు గాకనియు,

14. God said, 'Let there be lights in the huge space of the sky. Let them separate the day from the night. Let them serve as signs to mark off the seasons and the days and the years.

15. భూమిమీద వెలుగిచ్చుటకు అవి ఆకాశ విశాలమందు జ్యోతులై యుండు గాకనియు పలికెను; ఆ ప్రకారమాయెను.

15. Let them serve as lights in the huge space of the sky to give light on the earth.' And that's exactly what happened.

16. దేవుడు ఆ రెండు గొప్ప జ్యోతులను, అనగా పగటిని ఏలుటకు పెద్ద జ్యోతిని రాత్రిని ఏలుటకు చిన్న జ్యోతిని నక్షత్రములను చేసెను.

16. God made two great lights. He made the larger light to rule over the day. He made the smaller light to rule over the night. He also made the stars.

17. భూమిమీద వెలుగిచ్చుటకును

17. God put the lights in the huge space of the sky to give light on the earth.

18. పగటిని రాత్రిని ఏలుటకును వెలుగును చీకటిని వేరుపరచుటకును దేవుడు ఆకాశ విశాలమందు వాటి నుంచెను; అది మంచిదని దేవుడు చూచెను.

18. He put them there to rule over the day and the night. He put them there to separate light from darkness. God saw that it was good.

19. అస్తమయమును ఉదయమును కలుగగా నాలుగవ దినమాయెను.

19. And there was evening, and there was morning. It was day four.

20. దేవుడు జీవము కలిగి చలించువాటిని జలములు సమృద్ధిగా పుట్టించును గాకనియు, పక్షులు భూమిపైని ఆకాశ విశాలములో ఎగురును గాకనియు పలికెను.

20. God said, 'Let the waters be filled with living things. Let birds fly above the earth across the huge space of the sky.'

21. దేవుడు జలములలో వాటి వాటి జాతి ప్రకారము జలములు సమృద్ధిగా పుట్టించిన మహా మత్స్యములను, జీవము కలిగి చలించు వాటినన్నిటిని, దాని దాని జాతి ప్రకారము రెక్కలుగల ప్రతి పక్షిని సృజించెను. అది మంచిదని దేవుడు చూచెను.

21. So God created the great creatures of the ocean. He created every living and moving thing that fills the waters. He created all kinds of them. He created every kind of bird that flies. And God saw that it was good.

22. దేవుడు మీరు ఫలించి అభివృద్ధి పొంది సముద్ర జలములలో నిండి యుండుడనియు, పక్షులు భూమిమీద విస్తరించును గాకనియు, వాటిని ఆశీర్వదించెను.

22. God blessed them. He said, 'Have little ones and increase your numbers. Fill the water in the oceans. Let there be more and more birds on the earth.'

23. అస్తమయమును ఉదయమును కలుగగా అయిదవ దినమాయెను.

23. There was evening, and there was morning. It was day five.

24. దేవుడు వాటి వాటి జాతి ప్రకారము జీవముగల వాటిని, అనగా వాటి వాటి జాతి ప్రకారము పశువులను పురుగులను అడవి జంతువులను భూమి పుట్టించుగాకని పలికెను; ఆప్రకారమాయెను.

24. God said, 'Let the land produce all kinds of living creatures. Let there be livestock, and creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals. Let there be all kinds of them.' And that's exactly what happened.

25. దేవుడు ఆ యా జాతుల ప్రకారము అడవి జంతువులను, ఆ యా జాతుల ప్రకారము పశువులను, ఆ యా జాతుల ప్రకారము నేలను ప్రాకు ప్రతి పురుగును చేసెను. అదిమంచిదని దేవుడు చూచెను.

25. God made all kinds of wild animals. He made all kinds of livestock. He made all kinds of creatures that move along the ground. And God saw that it was good.

26. దేవుడు మన స్వరూపమందు మన పోలికె చొప్పున నరులను చేయుదము; వారు సముద్రపు చేపలను ఆకాశ పక్షులను పశువులను సమస్త భూమిని భూమిమీద ప్రాకు ప్రతి జంతువును ఏలుదురుగాకనియు పలికెను.

26. Then God said, 'Let us make man in our likeness. Let them rule over the fish in the waters and the birds of the air. Let them rule over the livestock and over the whole earth. Let them rule over all of the creatures that move along the ground.'

27. దేవుడు తన స్వరూపమందు నరుని సృజించెను; దేవుని స్వరూపమందు వాని సృజించెను; స్త్రీనిగాను పురుషునిగాను వారిని సృజించెను.

27. So God created man in his own likeness. He created him in the likeness of God. He created them as male and female.

28. దేవుడు వారిని ఆశీర్వదించెను; ఎట్లనగా మీరు ఫలించి అభివృద్ధిపొంది విస్తరించి భూమిని నిండించి దానిని లోపరచుకొనుడి; సముద్రపు చేపలను ఆకాశ పక్షులను భూమిమీద ప్రాకు ప్రతి జీవిని ఏలుడని దేవుడు వారితో చెప్పెను.

28. God blessed them. He said to them, 'Have children and increase your numbers. Fill the earth and bring it under your control. Rule over the fish in the waters and the birds of the air. Rule over every living creature that moves on the ground.'

29. దేవుడు ఇదిగో భూమిమీదనున్న విత్తనములిచ్చు ప్రతి చెట్టును విత్తనములిచ్చు వృక్షఫలముగల ప్రతి వృక్షమును మీ కిచ్చి యున్నాను; అవి మీ కాహారమగును.

29. Then God said, 'I am giving you every plant on the face of the whole earth that bears its own seeds. I am giving you every tree that has fruit with seeds in it. All of them will be given to you for food.

30. భూమి మీదనుండు జంతువులన్నిటికిని ఆకాశ పక్షులన్నిటికిని భూమిమీద ప్రాకు సమస్త జీవులకును పచ్చని చెట్లన్నియు ఆహారమగునని పలికెను. ఆ ప్రకారమాయెను.

30. I am giving every green plant to all of the land animals and the birds of the air for food. I am also giving the plants to all of the creatures that move on the ground. I am giving them to every living thing that breathes.' And that's exactly what happened.

31. దేవుడు తాను చేసినది యావత్తును చూచినప్పుడు అది చాల మంచిదిగ నుండెను. అస్తమయమును ఉదయమును కలుగగా ఆరవ దినమాయెను.

31. God saw everything he had made. And it was very good. There was evening, and there was morning. It was day six.
