1. And it happened when Isaac was old and his eyes were dim for seeing, he called his elder son Esau and said to him, My son! And he said to him, Behold me.

2. And he said, Behold! Now, I am old; I do not know the day of my death.

3. And now please lift up your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go to the field and hunt game for me.

4. నేను చావక మునుపు నిన్ను నేను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు నాకిష్టమైన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధపరచి నేను తినుటకై నాయొద్దకు తెమ్మని చెప్పెను.

4. And make for me delicious things, such as I love, and bring to me, and I will eat; so that my soul may bless you before I die.

5. ఇస్సాకు తన కుమారుడగు ఏశావుతో ఇట్లు చెప్పుచుండగా రిబ్కా వినుచుండెను. ఏశావు వేటాడి మాంసము తెచ్చుటకు అడవికి వెళ్లెను.

5. And Rebekah heard when Isaac spoke to his son Esau. And Esau went to the field to hunt game, to bring it in.

6. అప్పుడు రిబ్కా తన కుమారుడగు యాకోబును చూచి ఇదిగో నీ తండ్రి నీ అన్నయైన ఏశావుతో

6. And Rebekah spoke to her son Jacob, saying, Behold, I heard your father speaking to your brother Esau saying,

7. మృతి బొందకమునుపు నేను తిని యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు నాకొరకు మాంసము తెచ్చి నాకు రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధ పరచుమని చెప్పగా వింటిని.

7. Bring game to me and make delicious things that I may eat, that I may bless you before Jehovah before my death.

8. కాబట్టి నా కుమారుడా, నా మాట విని నేను నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్టు చేయుము.

8. And now my son hear my voice, that which I command you.

9. నీవు మందకు వెళ్లి రెండు మంచి మేక పిల్లలను అక్కడనుండి నాయొద్దకు తెమ్ము. వాటితో నీ తండ్రి కిష్టమైన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను అతనికి చేసెదను.

9. Go now to the flock and bring me from there two good kids of the goats. And I will make them into delicious things for your father which he loves;

10. నీ తండ్రి మృతిబొందక ముందు అతడు వాటిని తిని నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు నీవు వాటిని నీ తండ్రి యొద్దకు తీసికొనిపోవలెననెను.

10. and you shall bring it to your father and let him eat, so that he may bless you before his death.

11. అందుకు యాకోబు నా సహోదరుడైన ఏశావు రోమము గలవాడు, నేను నున్ననివాడను గదా.

11. And Jacob said to his mother Rebekah, Behold, my brother Esau is a hairy man, and I a smooth man.

12. ఒకవేళ నా తండ్రి నన్ను తడవిచూచును, అప్పుడు నేను అతని దృష్టికి వంచకుడనుగా తోచినయెడల నా మీదికి శాపమే గాని ఆశీర్వాదము తెచ్చుకొననని చెప్పెను.

12. Perhaps my father will feel me, and I shall be like a deceiver in his eyes, and I shall bring a curse on me, and not blessing.

13. అయినను అతని తల్లి నా కుమారుడా, ఆ శాపము నా మీదికి వచ్చును గాక. నీవు నా మాట మాత్రము విని, పోయి వాటిని నాయొద్దకు తీసికొని రమ్మని చెప్పగా

13. And his mother said to him, Your curse be on me, my son; only listen to my voice and go, take for me.

14. అతడు వెళ్లి వాటిని తన తల్లియొద్దకు తీసికొనివచ్చెను. అతని తల్లి అతని తండ్రి కిష్టమైన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధపరచెను.

14. And he went and took and came to his mother. And his mother made delicious things, such as his father loved.

15. And Rebekah took the clothing of her elder son Esau, the costly ones which were with her in the house. And she dressed her younger son Jacob;

16. and she put the skins of the kids of the goats on his hands, and on the smoothness of his neck.

17. తాను సిద్ధపరచిన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను రొట్టెను తన కుమారుడగు యాకోబు చేతి కియ్యగా

17. And she put the delicious things and the bread which she had made in the hand of her son Jacob.

18. అతడు తన తండ్రి యొద్దకు వచ్చి - నా తండ్రీ, అని పిలువగా అతడు ఏమి నా కుమారుడా, నీ వెవరవని అడిగెను

18. And he went in to his father and said, My father. And he said, Behold me. Who are you, my son?

19. And Jacob said to his father, I am your first-born, Esau. I have done as you said to me. Rise up now, sit and eat of my game, so that your soul may bless me.

20. అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు నా కుమారుడా, ఇంత శీఘ్రముగా అది నీ కెట్లు దొరికెనని అడుగగా అతడు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నా యెదుటికి దాని రప్పించుట చేతనే అని చెప్పెను.

20. And Isaac said to his son, How then have you quickly found it, my son? And he said, Because Jehovah your God made it come to me.

21. అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు నా కుమారుడా, నీవు ఏశావను నా కుమారుడవో కావో నేను నిన్ను తడవి చూచెదను దగ్గరకు రమ్మని చెప్పెను.

21. And Isaac said to Jacob, Come near now and let me feel you, whether then you are my son Esau, or not.

22. యాకోబు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు దగ్గరకు వచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు అతని తడవిచూచి - స్వరము యాకోబు స్వరము గాని చేతులు ఏశావు చేతులే అనెను.

22. And Jacob came near to his father Isaac. And he felt him, and he said, The voice is the voice of Jacob and the hands are Esau's hands.

23. యాకోబు చేతులు అతని అన్నయైన ఏశావు చేతులవలె రోమము గలవైనందున ఇస్సాకు అతనిని గురుతు పట్టలేక అతనిని దీవించి

23. And he did not know him, because his hands were like the hairy hands of his brother Esau. And he blessed him.

24. ఏశావు అను నా కుమారుడవు నీవేనా అని అడుగగా యాకోబు - నేనే అనెను.

24. And he said, Are you then my son Esau? And he said, I am.

25. అంతట అతడు అది నాయొద్దకు తెమ్ము; నేను నిన్ను దీవించునట్లు నా కుమారుడు వేటాడి తెచ్చినది తిందు ననెను; అతడు తెచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు తినెను; ద్రాక్షారసము తేగా అతడు త్రాగెను.

25. And he said, Bring to me and let me eat of my son's game, so that my soul may bless you. And he came near to him; and he took and he ate. And he came to him, and he drank wine.

26. తరువాత అతని తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు నా కుమారుడా, దగ్గరకువచ్చి నన్ను ముద్దు పెట్టుకొమ్మని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

26. And his father Isaac said to him, Now come and kiss me, my son.

27. అతడు దగ్గరకు వచ్చి అతని ముద్దుపెట్టుకొనెను. అప్పుడతడు అతని వస్త్రములను వాసన చూచి అతని దీవించి యిట్లనెను. ఇదిగో నా కుమారుని సువాసన యెహోవా దీవించిన చేని సువాసనవలె నున్నది.

27. And he came near and kissed him. And he smelled the smell of his clothes. And he blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which Jehovah has blessed.

28. ఆకాశపుమంచును భూసారమును విస్తారమైన ధాన్యమును ద్రాక్షారసమును దేవుడు నీ కనుగ్రహించుగాక

28. And may God give you of the dew of the heavens, and of the fatness of the earth, and much grain and wine.

29. జనములు నీకు దాసులగుదురు జనములు నీకు సాగిలపడుదురు నీ బంధు జనులకు నీవు ఏలికవై యుండుము నీ తల్లి పుత్రులు నీకు సాగిలపడుదురు నిన్ను శపించువారు శపింపబడుదురు నిన్ను దీవించువారు దీవింపబడుదురుగాక

29. May the nations serve you and peoples bow to you; be a ruler to your brothers, and may your mother's sons bow to you, and cursed be those who curse you, and blessed be those who bless you.

30. ఇస్సాకు యాకోబును దీవించుటయైన తరువాత యాకోబు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు ఎదుటనుండి బయలు దేరి వెళ్లిన తక్షణమే అతని సహోదరుడైన ఏశావు వేటాడి వచ్చెను.

30. And it happened that when Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, then it came about that Jacob had hardly gone out from the face of his father Isaac, and his brother Esau came in from his hunting.

31. అతడును రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధపరచి తన తండ్రియొద్దకు తెచ్చినా తండ్రీ నన్ను దీవించునట్లు లేచి నీ కుమారుడు వేటాడి తెచ్చినదాని తినుమని తన తండ్రితోననెను.

31. And he also made delicious things and came to his father. And he said to his father, Let my father rise and eat from the game of his son, so that your soul may bless me.

32. అతని తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు - నీ వెవరవని అతని నడిగినప్పుడు అతడునేను నీ కుమారుడను ఏశావు అను నీ జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడననగా

32. And his father Isaac said to him, Who are you? And he said, I am your son, your first-born, Esau.

33. ఇస్సాకు మిక్కుటముగా గడగడ వణకుచు అట్లయితే వేటాడిన భోజ్యమును నాయొద్దకు తెచ్చినవారెవరు? నీవు రాకమునుపు నేను వాటన్నిటిలో తిని అతనిని నిజముగా దీవించితిని, అతడు దీవింపబడినవాడే యనెను.

33. And Isaac was terrified with a very great anxiety. And he said, Who then was the one who hunted game and came to me; and I ate from it all before you came; and I blessed him? Yea, he shall be blessed.

34. ఏశావు తన తండ్రి మాటలు వినినప్పుడు దుఃఖాక్రాంతుడై పెద్దకేక వేసి - ఓ నా తండ్రీ, నన్నును దీవించుమని తన తండ్రితో చెప్పెను.

34. When Esau heard the words of his father he cried out a great and very bitter cry. And he said to his father, Bless me, me also, my father.

35. అతడు - నీ సహోదరుడు కపటోపాయముతో వచ్చి నీకు రావలసిన దీవెన తీసికొనిపోయెను.

35. And he said, Your brother came with deceit and took your blessing.

36. And he said, It is because his name is called Jacob, and this twice he took me by the heel; he took my birthright and, behold, now he has taken my blessing. And he said, Have you not reserved a blessing for me?

37. అందుకు ఇస్సాకు - ఇదిగో అతని నీకు ఏలికనుగా నియమించి అతని బంధుజనులందరిని అతనికి దాసులుగా ఇచ్చితిని; ధాన్యమును ద్రాక్షారసమును ఇచ్చి అతని పోషించితిని గనుక నా కుమారుడా, నీకేమి చేయవలెనని ఏశావుతో ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యగా¸

37. And Isaac answered and said to Esau, Behold, I have set him over you as a ruler, and I have given him all his brothers for servants; I have girded him with grain and wine. And what then can I do for you, my son?

38. ఏశావు నా తండ్రీ, నీయొద్ద ఒక దీవెనయే ఉన్నదా? నా తండ్రీ, నన్ను, నన్ను కూడ దీవించుమని తన తండ్రితో చెప్పి ఏశావు ఎలుగెత్తి యేడ్వగా అతని తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు -

38. And Esau said to his father, Is one blessing left to you, my father? Bless me, me also, my father. And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.

39. నీ నివాసము భూసారము లేకయు పైనుండిపడు ఆకాశపుమంచు లేకయు నుండును.

39. And his father Isaac answered and said to him, Behold, your dwelling shall be from the fat of the earth and from the dew of the heavens above;

40. నీవు నీకత్తిచేత బ్రదుకుదువు నీ సహోదరునికి దాసుడవగుదువు నీవు తిరుగులాడు చుండగా నీ మెడ మీదనుండి అతని కాడి విరిచివేయుదువు అని అతని కుత్తరమిచ్చెను.

40. and you shall live by your sword, and you shall serve your brother; and when it shall be that you are restless, you shall break his yoke from your neck.

41. తన తండ్రి యాకోబుకిచ్చిన దీవెన నిమిత్తము ఏశావు అతనిమీద పగపట్టెను. మరియు ఏశావు నా తండ్రిని గూర్చిన దుఃఖదినములు సమీపముగా నున్నవి; అప్పుడు నా తమ్ముడైన యాకోబును చంపెదననుకొనెను.

41. And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.

42. రిబ్కా తన పెద్దకుమారుడైన ఏశావు మాటలనుగూర్చి వినినప్పుడు ఆమె తన చిన్న కుమారుడైన యాకోబును పిలువనంపి అతనితో ఇట్లనెను - ఇదిగో నీ అన్నయైన ఏశావు నిన్ను చంపెదనని చెప్పి నిన్ను గూర్చి తన్నుతాను ఓదార్చుకొను చున్నాడు.

42. And the words of her older son Esau were told to Rebekah. And she sent and called her younger son Jacob. And she said to him, Behold! Your brother Esau is going to ease himself on you, to kill you.

43. కాబట్టి నా కుమారుడా, నీవు నా మాట విని లేచి హారానులోనున్న నా సహోదరుడగు లాబాను నొద్దకు పారిపోయి నీ అన్నకోపము చల్లారువరకు

43. And now, my son, listen to my voice, and rise, flee for yourself to my brother Laban, to Haran.

44. నీ అన్న కోపము నీమీదనుండి తొలగి నీవు అతనికి చేసిన వాటిని అతడు మరచు వరకు లాబానునొద్ద కొన్నాళ్లు ఉండుము;

44. And stay with him some days until your brother's fury turns away,

45. అప్పుడు నేను అక్కడనుండి నిన్ను పిలిపించెదను. ఒక్కనాడే మీ యిద్దరిని నేను పోగొట్టుకొననేల అనెను.

45. until your brother's anger turns back from you, and he forgets what you have done to him. And I will send and take you from there. Why should I also be bereaved of two of you in one day?

46. And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life from the daughters of Heth. If Jacob takes a wife from the daughters of Heth, like these from the daughters of the land, what is my life to me?
