1. మనము తిరిగి బాషాను మార్గమున వెళ్లినప్పుడు బాషాను రాజైన ఓగును అతని ప్రజలందరును ఎద్రెయీలో మనతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకు బయలుదేరి యెదురుగా రాగా

1. Then we turned and went up the way to Basan. And Og the king of Basan came out against us: both he and all his people to battle at Edrei.

2. యెహోవా నాతో ఇట్లనెను అతనికి భయపడకుము, అతనిని అతని సమస్త జనమును అతని దేశమును నీ చేతికి అప్పగించియున్నాను. హెష్బోనులో నివసించిన అమోరీయుల రాజైన సీహోనుకు చేసినట్లు ఇతనికిని చేయవలెనని చెప్పెను.

2. And the LORD said unto me: fear him not, for I have delivered him and all his people and his land into thy hand and thou shalt deal with him as thou dealest with Sihon king of the Amorites which dwelt at Hesbon.

3. అట్లు మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా బాషాను రాజైన ఓగును అతని సమస్త జనమును మనచేతికి అప్పగించెను; అతనికి శేషమేమియు లేకుండ అతనిని హతము చేసితివిు.

3. And so the LORD our God delivered into our hands, Og also the king of Basan and all his folk. And we smote him until nought was left him.

4. ఆ కాలమున అతని పురములన్నిటిని పట్టుకొంటిమి. వారి పురములలో మనము పట్టుకొనని పురమొకటియు లేదు. బాషానులో ఓగురాజ్యమగు అర్గోబు ప్రదేశమందంతటనున్న అరువది పురములను పట్టుకొంటిమి.

4. And we took all his cities the same season (for there was not a city which we took not from them) even three score cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Basan.

5. ఆ పురములన్నియు గొప్ప ప్రాకార ములు గవునులు గడియలునుగల దుర్గములు. అవియు గాక ప్రాకారములేని పురములనేకములను పట్టు కొంటిమి.

5. All these cities were made strong with high walls, gates and bars, beside unwalled towns a great many.

6. మనము హెష్బోను రాజైన సీహోనుకు చేసినట్లు వాటిని నిర్మూలము చేసితివిు; ప్రతి పురములోని స్త్రీ పురుషులను పిల్లలను నిర్మూలము చేసితివిు;

6. And we utterly destroyed them, as we played with Sihon king of Hesbon: bringing to nought all the cities with men, women and children.

7. వారి పశువులనన్నిటిని ఆ పురముల సొమ్మును దోపిడిగా తీసికొంటిమి.

7. But all the cattle and the spoil of the cities, we caught for ourselves.

8. ఆ కాలమున అర్నోను ఏరు మొదలుకొని హెర్మోను కొండవరకు యొర్దాను అవతలనున్న దేశమును అమోరీయుల యిద్దరు రాజులయొద్దనుండి పట్టుకొంటిమి.

8. And thus we took the same season, the land out of the hand of two kings of the Amorites on the other side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon

9. సీదోనీయులు హెర్మోనును షిర్యోనని అందురు. అమోరీయులు దానిని శెనీరని అందురు.

9. (which Hermon the Sidons call Sirion, but the Amorites call it Senir)

10. మైదానమందలి పురములన్నిటిని బాషాను నందలి ఓగు రాజ్యపురములైన సల్కా ఎద్రెయీ అనువాటివరకు గిలాదంతటిని బాషానును పట్టుకొంటిమి.

10. all the cities in the plain and all Gilead and all Basan unto Salcha and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Basan.

11. రెఫాయీయులలో బాషాను రాజైన ఓగు మాత్రము మిగిలెను. అతని మంచము ఇనుప మంచము. అది అమ్మోనీయుల రబ్బాలోనున్నది గదా? దాని పొడుగు మనుష్యుని మూరతో తొమ్మిది మూరలు దాని వెడల్పు నాలుగు మూరలు.

11. For only Og king of Basan remained of the remnant of the giants: behold, his iron bed is yet at Rabath among the children of Ammon nine cubits long and, four cubits broad, of the cubits of a man.

12. అర్నోను లోయలో నున్న అరోయేరు మొదలుకొని గిలాదు మన్నెములో సగమును, మనము అప్పుడు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనిన దేశమును, దాని పురములను రూబేనీయులకును గాదీయులకును ఇచ్చితిని.

12. And when we had conquered this land the same time, I gave from Aroer which is upon the river of Arnon, and half mount Gilead and the cities thereof unto the Rubenites, and Gadites.

13. ఓగు రాజు దేశమైన బాషాను యావత్తును గిలాదులో మిగిలిన దానిని, అనగా రెఫాయీయుల దేశమనబడిన బాషాను అంతటిని అర్గోబు ప్రదేశమంతటిని మనష్షే అర్ధ గోత్రమున కిచ్చితిని.

13. And the rest of Gilead and all Basan the kingdom of Og, I gave unto the half tribe of Manasse: all the region of Argob with all Basan was called the land of giants.

14. మనష్షే కుమారుడైన యాయీరు గెషూరీయుల యొక్కయు మాయాకాతీయు యొక్కయు సరిహద్దుల వరకు అర్గోబు ప్రదేశ మంతటిని పట్టుకొని, తన పేరునుబట్టి వాటికి యాయీరు బాషాను గ్రామములని పేరు పెట్టెను. నేటివరకు ఆ పేర్లు వాటికున్నవి.

14. Jair the son of Manasse took all the region of Argob unto the coasts of Gesuri and Maachati, and called the towns of Basan after his own name: the towns of Havoth Jair unto this day.

15. మాకీరీయులకు గిలాదు నిచ్చితిని.

15. And I gave half Gilead unto Machir.

16. గిలాదు మొదలుకొని అర్నోను లోయ మధ్యవరకును, యబ్బోకు నదివరకును అమ్మోనీయుల పడమటి సరిహద్దు వరకును

16. And unto Ruben and Gad, I gave from Gilead unto the river of Arnon and half the valley and the coast, even unto the river Jabock which is the border of the children of Ammon,

17. కిన్నెరెతు మొదలుకొని తూర్పుదిక్కున పిస్గా కొండ చరియల దిగువగా, ఉప్పు సముద్రము అనబడివ అరాబా సముద్రము వరకును వ్యాపించియున్న అరాబా ప్రదేశమును, యొర్దాను లోయ మధ్యభూమిని రూబేనీయులకును గాదీయులకును ఇచ్చితిని.

17. and the fields and Jordan with the coast, from Cenereth even unto the sea in the field which is the salt sea under the springs of Pisga eastward.

18. ఆ కాలమందు నేను మిమ్మును చూచి మీరు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఈ దేశమును మీకిచ్చెను. మీలో పరాక్రమవంతులందరు యుద్ధసన్నధ్దులై మీ సహోదరులగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ముందర నది దాటవలెను.

18. And I commanded you the same time (ye Ruben and Gad) saying: the LORD your God hath given you this land to enjoy it: see that ye go harnessed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are men of war among you.

19. అయితే యెహోవా మీకు విశ్రాంతి నిచ్చినట్లు మీ సహోదరులకును, విశ్రాంతినిచ్చువరకు,

19. Your wives only, your children and your cattle (for I wot that ye have much cattle) shall abide in your cities which I have given you,

20. అనగా మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా యొర్దాను అద్దరిని వారి కిచ్చుచున్న దేశమును వారును స్వాధీనపరచుకొనువరకు, మీ భార్యలును మీ పిల్లలును మీ మందలును నేను మీ కిచ్చిన పురములలో నివసింపవలెను. తరువాత మీలో ప్రతివాడును నేను మీకిచ్చిన తన తన స్వాస్థ్యమునకు తిరిగి రావలెనని మీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించితిని. మీ మందలు విస్తారములని నాకు తెలియును.

20. until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren as well as unto you, and until they also have conquered the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then return again every man unto his possession which I have given you.

21. ఆ కాలమున నేను యెహోషువతో ఇట్లంటిని మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఈ యిద్దరు రాజులకు చేసినదంతయు నీవు కన్నులార చూచితివి గదా. నీవు వెళ్లుచున్న రాజ్యముల నన్నిటికిని యెహోవా ఆలాగుననే చేయును.

21. And I warned Josua the same time saying: thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings, even so the LORD will do unto all kingdoms whither thou goest.

22. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ పక్షముగా యుద్ధముచేయువాడు గనుక వారికి భయపడవద్దని ఆజ్ఞాపించితిని.

22. Fear them not, for the LORD your God he it is that fighteth for you.

23. మరియు ఆ కాలమున నేను యెహోవా ప్రభువా, నీ మహిమను నీ బాహుబలమును నీ దాసునికి కనుపరచ మొదలుపెట్టి యున్నావు.

23. And I besought the LORD the same time saying:

24. ఆకాశమందే గాని భూమి యందే గాని నీవు చేయు క్రియలను చేయగల దేవుడెవడు? నీవు చూపు పరాక్రమమును చూపగల దేవుడెవడు?

24. O Lord Jehovah,(lorde Iehoua) thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness and thy mighty hand, for there is no God in heaven nor in earth that can do after thy works and after thy power:

25. నేను అద్దరికి వెళ్లి యొర్దాను అవతలనున్న యీ మంచి దేశమును మంచి మన్నెమును ఆ లెబానోనును చూచునట్లు దయచేయుమని నేను యెహోవాను బ్రతిమాలుకొనగా

25. let me go over and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly high country and Libanon.

26. యెహోవా మిమ్మును బట్టి నామీద కోపపడి నా మనవి వినకపోయెను. మరియు యెహోవా నాతో ఇట్లనెనుచాలును; ఇకను ఈ సంగతిని గూర్చి నాతో మాటలాడవద్దు.

26. But the LORD was angry with me for your sakes and would not hear me, but said unto me, be content, and speak henceforth no more unto me of this matter;

27. నీవు ఈ యొర్దానును దాట కూడదు గాని నీవు పిస్గాకొండయెక్కి కన్నులెత్తి పడమటి వైపును ఉత్తరవైపును దక్షిణవైపును తూర్పువైపును తేరి చూడుము.

27. Get thee up into the top of Pisga and lift up thine eyes west, north, south and east, and behold it with thine eyes for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

28. యెహోషువకు ఆజ్ఞయిచ్చి అతని ధైర్యపరచి దృఢపరచుము. అతడు ఈ ప్రజలను వెంటబెట్టుకొని నదిదాటి నీవు చూడబోవు దేశమును వారిని స్వాధీన పరచుకొనచేయును.

28. Moreover, charge Josua and courage him and bold him. For he shall go over before his people, and he shall divide the land which thou shalt see unto them.

29. అప్పుడు మనము బేత్పయోరు యెదుటనున్న లోయలో దిగియుంటిమి.

29. And so we abode in the valley beside Beth Peor.
