1. యోసేపు ఆ మనుష్యుల గోనెలు పట్టినంత ఆహార పదార్థములతో వాటిని నింపి ఎవరి రూకలు వారి గోనెమూతిలో పెట్టుమనియు,

1. Then commanded he him who was over his house saying Fill the sacks of the men, with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man's silver in the mouth of his sack;

2. కనిష్ఠుని గోనె మూతిలో తన వెండి గిన్నెను అతని ధాన్యపు రూకలను పెట్టుమనియు, తన గృహ నిర్వాహకునికి ఆజ్ఞాపింపగా యోసేపు చెప్పిన మాట చొప్పున అతడు చేసెను.

2. and my cup the cup of silver, shalt thou put in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, with his corn-silver. So he did, according to the word of Joseph, which he had spoken.

3. తెల్లవారినప్పుడు ఆ మనుష్యులు తమ గాడిదలతో కూడ పంపివేయబడిరి.

3. By the time, the morning, was light, the men, had been sent away, they, and their asses.

4. వారు ఆ పట్టణమునుండి బయలు దేరి యెంతో దూరము వెళ్లక మునుపు, యోసేపు తన గృహనిర్వాహకుని చూచి నీవు లేచి ఆ మనుష్యుల వెంటబడి వెళ్లి వారిని కలిసికొని మీరు మేలుకు కీడు చేయనేల?

4. They themselves, had gone out of the city they had not gone far, when Joseph said to him who was over his house, Rise chase after the men, so shalt thou overtake them and shalt say unto them, Wherefore have ye requited evil for good?

5. దేనితో నా ప్రభువు పానము చేయునో దేనివలన అతడు శకునములు చూచునో అది యిదే కదా? మీరు దీని చేయుటవలన కాని పని చేసితిరని వారితో చెప్పుమనెను.

5. Is not this that in which my lord drinketh, and whereby, he himself, doth divine? Ye have done evil in what ye have done.

6. అతడు వారిని కలిసికొని ఆ మాటలు వారితో చెప్పినప్పుడు

6. So he overtook them, and spake unto them these words.

7. వారు మా ప్రభువు ఇట్లు మాటలాడనేల? ఇట్టి పని చేయుట నీ దాసులకు దూరమవును గాక.

7. And they said unto him, Wherefore should my lord speak such words as these? Far be thy servants, from doing such a thing as this!

8. ఇదిగో మా గోనెలమూతులలో మాకు దొరికిన రూకలను కనాను దేశములోనుండి తిరిగి తీసికొనివచ్చితివిు; నీ ప్రభువు ఇంటిలోనుండి మేము వెండినైనను బంగారము నైనను ఎట్లు దొంగిలుదుము?

8. Lo! the silver that we found in the mouth of our sacks, we brought back unto thee out of the land of Canaan, how then could we steal out of the house of thy lord, silver or gold?

9. నీ దాసులలో ఎవరియొద్ద అది దొరుకునో వాడు చచ్చును గాక; మరియు మేము మా ప్రభువునకు దాసులముగా నుందుమని అతనితో అనిరి.

9. With whomsoever of thy servants it can be found, he shall die, and, we also, will become my lord's servants.

10. అందుకతడు మంచిది, మీరు చెప్పినట్టే కానీయుడి; ఎవరి యొద్ద అది దొరుకునో అతడే నాకు దాసుడగును, అయితే మీరు నిర్దోషులగుదురని చెప్పెను.

10. And he said, Yea, now, according to your words, so, let it be, he with whom it is found, shall be my servant, Ye, however, shall be clear.

11. అప్పుడు వారు త్వరపడి ప్రతివాడు తన గోనెను క్రిందికి దించి దానిని విప్పెను.

11. So they hastened and took down each man his sack to the ground, and opened each man his sack.

12. అతడు పెద్దవాడు మొదలుకొని చిన్న వానివరకు వారిని సోదా చూడగా ఆ గిన్నె బెన్యామీను గోనెలో దొరికెను.

12. Then made he thorough search, with the eldest, he began, and with the youngest, he ended, and the cup was found in the sack of Benjamin!

13. కావున వారు తమ బట్టలు చింపుకొని ప్రతివాడు తన గాడిదమీద గోనెలు ఎక్కించు కొని తిరిగి పట్టణమునకు వచ్చిరి.

13. And they rent their mantles, and laded each man his ass, and returned to the city.

14. అప్పుడు యూదాయును అతని సహోదరులును యోసేపు ఇంటికి వచ్చిరి. అతడింక అక్కడనే ఉండెను గనుక వారు అతని యెదుట నేలను సాగిలపడిరి.

14. And Judah and his brethren came into the house of Joseph, he, yet being there, and fell down before him to the earth.

15. అప్పుడు యోసేపు - మీరు చేసిన యీ పని యేమిటి? నావంటి మనుష్యుడు శకునము చూచి తెలిసికొనునని మీకు తెలియదా అని వారితో అనగా

15. And Joseph said to them, What is this deed which ye have done? Know ye not that such a man as I, can even divine?

16. యూదా యిట్లనెను - ఏలిన వారితో ఏమి చెప్పగలము? ఏమందుము? మేము నిర్దోషులమని యెట్లు కనుపరచగలము? దేవుడే నీ దాసుల నేరము కనుగొనెను. ఇదిగో మేమును ఎవని యొద్ద ఆ గిన్నె దొరికెనో వాడును ఏలిన వారికి దాసుల మగుదుమనెను.

16. Then said Judah What shall we say to my lord, how shall we speak and how shall we justify ourselves, when, God himself, hath found out the iniquity of thy servants? Behold us! my lord's servants, both we, and he in whose hand the cup hath been found.

17. అందుకతడు అట్లు చేయుట నాకు దూరమవునుగాక; ఎవనిచేతిలో ఆ గిన్నె దొరికెనో వాడే నాకు దాసుడుగా నుండును; మీరు మీ తండ్రి యొద్దకు సమాధానముగా వెళ్లుడని చెప్పగా

17. And he said, Far be it from me to do this thing! The man in whose hand the cup hath been found, he, shall be my servant, but as for you, go ye up in peace unto your father.

18. యూదా అతని సమీపించి ఏలినవాడా ఒక మనవి; ఒక మాట యేలిన వారితో తమ దాసుని చెప్పుకొననిమ్ము; తమ కోపము తమ దాసునిమీద రవులుకొననీయకుము; తమరు ఫరో అంతవారుగదా

18. Then Judah drew near unto him, and said Pardon my lord! Pray let thy servant speak a word in the ears of my lord, and do not let thine anger be kindled against thy servant, for, thus, art, thou as Pharaoh!

19. ఏలినవాడు మీకు తండ్రియైనను సహోదరుడైనను ఉన్నాడా అని తమ దాసులనడిగెను.

19. It was, my lord, who asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?

20. అందుకు మేము మాకు ముసలివాడైన తండ్రియు అతని ముసలితనమున పుట్టిన యొక చిన్నవాడును ఉన్నారు; వాని సహోదరుడు చనిపోయెను, వాని తల్లికి వాడొక్కడే మిగిలియున్నాడు, వాని తండ్రి వానిని ప్రేమించుచున్నాడని చెప్పితిమి.

20. So we said unto my lord, We have an aged father, and the child of his old age a youth, his brother, being dead, he alone, is left of his mother and, his father, loveth him.

21. అప్పుడు తమరు నేనతని చూచుటకు అతని నా యొద్దకు తీసికొని రండని తమ దాసులతో చెప్పితిరి.

21. So then thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.

22. అందుకు మేము ఆ చిన్నవాడు తన తండ్రిని విడువలేడు. వాడు తన తండ్రిని విడిచినయెడల వాని తండ్రి చనిపోవునని యేలినవారితో చెప్పితివిు.

22. And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father, as surely as he leaveth his father, so surely will he, die.

23. అందుకు తమరు మీ తమ్ముడు మీతో రానియెడల మీరు మరల నా ముఖము చూడకూడదని తమ దాసులతో చెప్పితిరి.

23. And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother do come down with you, ye shall not again behold my face.

24. కాబట్టి నా తండ్రియైన తమ దాసుని యొద్దకు మేము వెళ్లి యేలినవారి మాటలను అతనికి తెలియచేసితివిు.

24. So it came to pass when we had gone up unto thy servant, my father, that we told him the words of my lord.

25. మా తండ్రి మీరు తిరిగి వెళ్లి మనకొరకు కొంచెము అహారము కొనుక్కొని రండని చెప్పినప్పుడు

25. Then said our father, Go again buy us a little food,

26. మేము అక్కడికి వెళ్లలేము; మా తమ్ముడు మాతో కూడ ఉండిన యెడల వెళ్లుదుము; మా తమ్ముడు మాతో నుంటేనే గాని ఆ మనుష్యుని ముఖము చూడలేమని చెప్పితివిు.

26. And we said, We cannot go down, If our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down, for we cannot see the face of the man if, our youngest brother, is not with us.

27. అందుకు తమ దాసుడైన నా తండ్రి నా భార్య నాకిద్దరిని కనెనని మీరెరుగుదురు.

27. Then said thy servant my father, unto us, Ye yourselves, know, that, two, did my wife bear to me,

28. వారిలో ఒకడు నా యొద్దనుండి వెళ్లి పోయెను. అతడు నిశ్చయముగా దుష్ట మృగములచేత చీల్చబడెననుకొంటిని, అప్పటినుండి అతడు నాకు కనబడలేదు.

28. and the one went forth from me, and I said Certainly he hath been, torn in pieces,

29. మీరు నా యెదుటనుండి ఇతని తీసికొనిపోయిన తరువాత ఇతనికి హాని సంభవించినయెడల నెరసిన వెండ్రుకలుగల నన్ను మృతుల లోకములోనికి దుఃఖముతో దిగిపోవునట్లు చేయుదురని మాతో చెప్పెను.

29. And I have never seen him since. As surely as ye take, this one also, away from before my face and there befall him any mischief, so surely shall ye bring down my grey hairs, with misfortune to hades.

30. కావున తమ దాసుడైన నా తండ్రియొద్దకు నేను వెళ్లినప్పుడు ఈ చిన్నవాడు మాయొద్ద లేనియెడల

30. Now, therefore, as surely as I go in unto thy servant my father, and, the lad, is not with us, seeing that his soul is bound up with the lads soul,

31. అతని ప్రాణము ఇతని ప్రాణముతో పెనవేసికొని యున్నది గనుక ఈ చిన్నవాడు మాయొద్ద లేకపోవుట అతడు చూడగానే చనిపోవును. అట్లు తమ దాసులమైన మేము నెరసిన వెండ్రుకలుగల తమ దాసుడైన మాతండ్రిని మృతుల లోకములోనికి దుఃఖముతో దిగిపోవునట్లు చేయుదము.

31. so surely shall it come to pass that when he sooth that the lad is not with us, then will he die. So shall thy servants bring down the grey hairs of thy servant our father, with sorrow to hades.

32. తమ దాసుడనైన నేను ఈ చిన్న వానినిగూర్చి నా తండ్రికి పూటపడి నీ యొద్దకు నేనతని తీసికొని రానియెడల నా తండ్రి దృష్టియందు ఆ నింద నా మీద ఎల్లప్పుడు ఉండునని చెప్పితిని.

32. For thy servant, became surety for the lad, while away from my father saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then will I count myself a sinner against my father all the days.

33. కాబట్టి తమ దాసుడనైన నన్ను ఈ చిన్నవానికి ప్రతిగా ఏలినవారికి దాసునిగా నుండనిచ్చి యీ చిన్నవాని తన సహోదరులతో వెళ్లనిమ్ము.

33. Now, therefore, I pray thee let thy servant remain instead of the lad, as servant to my lord, but as for the lad, let him go up with his brethren.

34. ఈ చిన్నవాడు నాతోకూడ లేనియెడల నా తండ్రియొద్దకు నేనెట్లు వెళ్లగలను? వెళ్లినయెడల నా తండ్రికి వచ్చు అపాయము చూడవలసి వచ్చునని చెప్పెను.

34. For how can I go up unto my father, should the lad, not be with me? lest I look on the calamity, that shall find out my father,
