1. యాకోబు తన కుమారులను పిలిపించి యిట్లనెను. మీరు కూడిరండి, అంత్యదినములలో మీకు సంభవింపబోవు సంగతులను మీకు తెలియచేసెదను.

1. Then called Jacob unto his sons, and said Gather yourselves together, and let me tell you, that which shall befall you in the afterpart of the days.

2. యాకోబు కుమారులారా, కూడివచ్చి ఆలకించుడి మీ తండ్రియైన ఇశ్రాయేలు మాట వినుడి.

2. Assemble yourselves and hear ye sons of Jacob, And hearken unto Israel your father!

3. రూబేనూ, నీవు నా పెద్ద కుమారుడవు నా శక్తియు నా బలముయొక్క ప్రథమఫలమును ఔన్నత్యాతిశయమును బలాతిశయమును నీవే.

3. Reuben, my first-born, thou, My vigour, and the first-fruit of my strength, Pre-eminence of elevation and pre-eminence of power:

4. నీళ్లవలె చంచలుడవై నీవు అతిశయము పొందవు నీ తండ్రి మంచముమీది కెక్కితివి దానిని అపవిత్రము చేసితివి అతడు నా మంచముమీది కెక్కెను.

4. Boiling over like water, thou mayest not have pre-eminence, Because thou didst mount the bed of thy father, Then, wast thou profane My marriage-bed, he mounted!

5. Simeon and Levi, are brethren, Instruments of violence, are their agreements:

7. Accursed, be their anger, because fierce, And their wrath because cruel, I divide them in Jacob, And I disperse them in Israel.

8. యూదా, నీ సహోదరులు నిన్ను స్తుతించెదరు నీ చెయ్యి నీ శత్రువుల మెడమీద ఉండును నీ తండ్రి కుమారులు నీ యెదుట సాగిలపడుదురు.

8. Judah, as for thee, thy brethren shall praise thee when thy hand is on the neck of thy foes, The sons of thy father, shall bow them-selves down to thee:

9. యూదా కొదమ సింహము నా కుమారుడా, నీవు పట్టినదాని తిని వచ్చితివి సింహమువలెను గర్జించు ఆడు సింహమువలెను అతడు కాళ్లు ముడుచుకొని పండుకొనెను అతని లేపువాడెవడు?

9. A lion's whelp, is Judah, From the prey, my son hast thou come up! He hath stooped hath crouched As a lion or as a lioness, Who shall rouse him?

11. Binding, to the vine, his ass, And to the choice vine his ass's colt, He hath washed in wine his raiment, And in the blood of grapes, his mantle:

12. అతని కన్నులు ద్రాక్షారసముచేత ఎఱ్ఱగాను అతని పళ్లు పాలచేత తెల్లగాను ఉండును.

12. Darker his eyes, than wine, Whiter his teeth than milk!

13. జెబూలూను సముద్రపు రేవున నివసించును అతడు ఓడలకు రేవుగా ఉండును అతని పొలిమేర సీదోనువరకు నుండును.

13. Zebulon, by a haven of seas, shall he settle down, Even he, by a haven of ships, With his utmost part upon b Zidon.

14. ఇశ్శాఖారు రెండు దొడ్ల మధ్యను పండుకొనియున్న బలమైన గార్దభము.

14. Issachar, an ass of strength, couching between the pens;

15. అతడు విశ్రాంతి మంచిదగుటయు ఆ భూమి రమ్యమైనదగుటయు చూచెను గనుక అతడు మోయుటకు భుజము వంచుకొని వెట్టిచేయు దాసుడగును.

15. Then beholdeth he rest, that it is good, And the ground that it is pleasant, So he bendeth his shoulder to bear, And becometh a tributary servant.

16. దాను ఇశ్రాయేలు గోత్రికులవలె తన ప్రజలకు న్యాయము తీర్చును.

16. Dan, shall vindicate his people, as one of the tribes of Israel;

17. దాను త్రోవలో సర్పముగాను దారిలో కట్లపాముగాను ఉండును. అది గుఱ్ఱపు మడిమెలు కరచును అందువలన ఎక్కువాడు వెనుకకు పడును.

17. It cometh to pass that, Dan, is a serpent upon the way, A horned viper, upon the path, That biteth the heels of the horse, And his rider falleth backwards:

18. యెహోవా, నీ రక్షణకొరకు కనిపెట్టి యున్నాను.

18. For thy salvation, have I waited O Yahweh!

19. బంటుల గుంపు గాదును కొట్టును అతడు మడిమెను కొట్టును.

19. Gad! a troop shall troop on him, But, he, shall troop on the rear.

20. ఆషేరునొద్ద శ్రేష్ఠమైన ఆహారము కలదు రాజులకు తగిన మధుర పదార్థములను అతడిచ్చును.

20. Out of Asher, fatness, is his feed, So, he, setteth forth dainties for a king.

21. నఫ్తాలి విడువబడిన లేడి అతడు ఇంపైనమాటలు పలుకును.

21. Naphtali, is a slender hind, That putteth forth antlers of beauty. A fruitful bough, is Joseph,

22. యోసేపు ఫలించెడి కొమ్మ ఊట యొద్ద ఫలించెడి కొమ్మ దాని రెమ్మలు గోడమీదికి ఎక్కి వ్యాపించును.

22. A fruitful bough over a fountain, Branches creeping over a wail.

23. విలుకాండ్రు అతని వేధించిరి వారు బాణములను వేసి అతని హింసించిరి.

23. So they attack him and have shot, So they enclose him, do the masters of arrows.

24. యాకోబు కొలుచు పరాక్రమశాలియైనవాని హస్తబలమువలన అతని విల్లు బలమైనదగును. ఇశ్రాయేలునకు బండయు మేపెడివాడును ఆయనే. నీకు సహాయము చేయు నీ తండ్రి దేవునివలనను పైనుండి మింటి దీవెనలతోను

24. But abideth, as an enduring one, his bow, And supple are the arms of his hands, From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, From thence, is the Shepherd the Stone of Israel:

25. క్రింద దాగియున్న అగాధజలముల దీవెనలతోను స్తనముల దీవెనలతోను గర్భముల దీవెనలతోను నిన్ను దీవించు సర్వశక్తుని దీవెనవలనను అతని బాహుబలము దిట్టపరచబడును

25. From the GOD of thy father who doth help thee And GOD Almighty who doth bless thee, Blessings of the heavens, above, Blessings of the abyss, couching beneath, Blessings of breasts and womb:

26. నీ తండ్రి దీవెనలు నా పూర్వికుల దీవెనలపైని చిరకాల పర్వతములకంటె హెచ్చుగ ప్రబలమగును. అవి యోసేపు తలమీదను తన సహోదరులనుండి వేరుపరచబడిన వాని నడినెత్తిమీదను ఉండును.

26. The blessings of thy father, have prevailed, Over the blessings of the perpetual mountains, The charm of the age-abiding hills, They turn out to be, for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of the head of him who was set apart from his brethren.

27. బెన్యామీను చీల్చునట్టి తోడేలు అతడు ఉదయమందు ఎరను తిని అస్తమయమందు దోపుడుసొమ్ము పంచుకొనును.

27. Benjamin a wolf that teareth in pieces, In the morning, he eateth prey, And at eventide, he divideth spoil.

28. ఇవి అన్నియు ఇశ్రాయేలు పండ్రెండు గోత్రములు. వారి తండ్రి వారిని దీవించుచు వారితో చెప్పినది యిదే. ఎవరి దీవెన చొప్పున వారిని దీవించెను.

28. All these, are the twelve tribes of Israel, And this, is that which their father spake to them when he blessed them, Each man severally according to the blessing wherewith he blessed them.

29. తరువాత అతడు వారి కాజ్ఞాపించుచు ఇట్లనెను - నేను నా స్వజనులయొద్దకు చేర్చబడుచున్నాను.

30. హిత్తీయుడైన ఎఫ్రోను భూమియందున్న గుహలో నా తండ్రుల యొద్ద నన్ను పాతిపెట్టుడి. ఆ గుహ కనాను దేశమందలి మమ్రే యెదుటనున్న మక్పేలా పొలములో ఉన్నది. అబ్రాహాము దానిని ఆ పొలమును హిత్తీయుడగు ఎఫ్రోనుయొద్ద శ్మశాన భూమి కొరకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా కొనెను.

30. in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah which is over against Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought, along with the field, from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace:

31. అక్కడనే వారు అబ్రాహామును అతని భార్యయైన శారాను పాతి పెట్టిరి; అక్కడనే ఇస్సాకును అతని భార్యయైన రిబ్కాను పాతి పెట్టిరి; అక్కడనే నేను లేయాను పాతిపెట్టితిని.

31. There, buried they Abraham, and Sarah his wife, There, buried they Isaac, and Rebekah his wife, And there, buried I Leah:

32. ఆ పొలమును అందులోనున్న గుహయు హేతుకుమారుల యొద్ద కొనబడినదనెను.

32. buying the field and the cave that is therein, from the sons of Heth.

33. యాకోబు తన కుమారుల కాజ్ఞాపించుట చాలించి మంచముమీద తన కాళ్లు ముడుచుకొని ప్రాణమువిడిచి తన స్వజనులయొద్దకు చేర్చబడెను.

33. So Jacob made an end of commanding his sons, and gathered up his feet into the couch, and ceased to breathe and was gathered unto his people.
