1. యెహోవా నలుదిక్కుల అతని శత్రువులమీద అతనికి విజయమిచ్చి అతనికి నెమ్మది కలుగజేసిన తరువాత రాజుతన నగరియందు కాపురముండి నాతానను ప్రవక్తను పిలువ నంపి

1. And it came to pass, when the king had taken up his abode in his house, and Yahweh had given him rest round about, from all his enemies,

2. నేను దేవదారుమ్రానుతో కట్టిన నగరియందు వాసము చేయుచుండగా దేవుని మందసము డేరాలో నిలిచియున్నదనగా

2. that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See, I pray thee I, have my abode in a house, of cedar, but, the ark of God, abideth in, the midst, of curtains.

3. నాతానుయెహోవా నీకు తోడుగా నున్నాడు, నీకు తోచినదంతయు నెరవేర్చుమనెను.

3. And Nathan said unto the king, All that is in thy heart, go do, for Yahweh is with thee.

4. అయితే ఆ రాత్రి యెహోవా వాక్కు నాతానునకు ప్రత్యక్షమై సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగా

4. But so it was, in that night, that the word of Yahweh came unto Nathan, saying:

5. నీవు పోయి నా సేవకుడగు దావీదుతో ఇట్లనుముయెహోవా నీకాజ్ఞ ఇచ్చునదేమనగానాకు నివాసముగా ఒక మందిరమును కట్టింతువా?

5. Go and say unto my servant unto David: Thus, saith Yahweh, Shalt, thou, build me a house, for me to dwell in;

6. ఐగుప్తులోనుండి నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను రప్పించిన నాటనుండి నేటివరకు మందిరములో నివసింపక డేరాలోను గుడారములోను నివసించుచు సంచరించితిని.

6. seeing that I have not dwelt in a house, since the day that I brought up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even unto this day, but have been wandering in a tent as my habitation?

7. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతోకూడ నేను సంచరించిన కాల మంతయు నా జనులను పోషించుడని నేను ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములలో ఎవరితోనైనను దేవ దారుమయమైన మందిరమొకటి మీరు నాకు కట్టింపక పోతిరే అని నేనెన్నడైనను అనియుంటినా?

7. Wheresoever I have wandered with any of the sons of Israel, spake I ever, a word, with any one of the tribes of Israel, whom I charged to shepherd my people Israel, saying, Wherefore have ye not built me a house, of cedar?

8. కాబట్టి నీవు నా సేవకుడగు దావీదుతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుముసైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా నీకు సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాగొఱ్ఱెల కాపులోనున్న నిన్ను గొఱ్ఱెలదొడ్డిలోనుండి తీసి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను నా జనులమీద అధిపతిగా నియమించి తిని.

8. Now, therefore, thus, shalt thou say unto my servant, unto David: Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I myself, took thee away from the pasture, from after the flock, to become leader over my people, over Israel;

9. నీవు పోవు చోట్లనెల్లను నీకు తోడుగానుండి నీ శత్రువులనందరిని నీ యెదుట నిలువకుండ నిర్మూలముచేసి, లోకము లోని ఘనులైన వారికి కలుగు పేరు నీకు కలుగజేసి యున్నాను.

9. and was with thee, whithersoever thou didst go, and have cut off all thine enemies, from before thee, and will make thee a name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth;

10. మరియు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను నా జనులు ఇకను కదిలింపబడకుండ తమ స్వస్థలమందు నివసించునట్లు దానియందు వారిని నాటి, పూర్వము ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను నా జనులమీద నేను న్యాయాధిపతులను నియమించిన తరువాత జరుగుచు వచ్చినట్లు దుర్బుద్ధి గల జనులు ఇకను వారిని కష్టపెట్టకయుండునట్లుగా చేసి

10. and will appoint a place for my people, for Israel, and will plant them, and they shall inhabit their place, and be unsettled no more, neither shall the sons of perversity again humiliate them, as at first;

11. నీ శత్రువుల మీద నీకు జయమిచ్చి నీకు నెమ్మది కలుగజేసియున్నాను. మరియు యెహోవానగు నేను నీకు తెలియజేయు నదేమనగానేను నీకు సంతానము కలుగజేయుదును.

11. even from the day when I put judges in charge over my people Israel, thus will I give thee rest from all thine enemies. And Yahweh must tell thee that, a house, will Yahweh make for thee.

12. నీ దినములు సంపూర్ణములగునప్పుడు నీవు నీ పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించిన తరువాత నీ గర్భములోనుండి వచ్చిన నీ సంతతిని హెచ్చించి, రాజ్యమును అతనికి స్థిరపరచెదను.

12. And it shall be that, when thy days shall be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, then will I raise up thy seed after thee, which proceedeth from thine own body, and I will establish his kingdom.

13. He, shall build a house for my name, and I will establish his kingly throne unto times age-abiding:

14. I, will become his father, And, he, shall become my son: If he commit iniquity, then will I correct him, with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men;

15. నిన్ను స్థాపించుటకై నేను కొట్టి వేసిన సౌలునకు నా కృప దూరమైనట్లు అతనికి నా కృప దూరము చేయను.

15. But, my lovingkindness, shall not depart from him, as I caused it to depart from Saul, whom I caused to depart from before thee.

16. నీ మట్టుకు నీ సంతానమును నీ రాజ్యమును నిత్యము స్థిరమగును, నీ సింహాసనము నిత్యము స్థిరపరచబడును అనెను.

16. So shall thy house and thy kingdom be made steadfast unto times age-abiding, before thee, thy throne, shall be established unto times age-abiding.

17. తనకు కలిగిన దర్శన మంతటినిబట్టి యీ మాటలన్నిటి చొప్పున నాతాను దావీదునకు వర్తమానము తెలియ జెప్పెను.

17. According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so, spake Nathan unto David.

18. దావీదు రాజు లోపల ప్రవేశించి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని కూర్చుండి ఈలాగున మనవి చేసెనునా ప్రభువా యెహోవా, ఇంతగా నీవు నన్ను హెచ్చించుటకు నే నెంతటివాడను? నా కుటుంబము ఏ పాటిది?

18. Then entered King David, and tarried before Yahweh, and said Who am, I, My Lord, Yahweh, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me, hitherto;

19. ఇంత హెచ్చుగా చేసినదంతయు నీ దృష్టికి కొంచెమై, మానవుల పద్ధతినిబట్టి, బహుకాలము జరిగిన తరువాత నీ దాసుడ నైన నా సంతానమునకు కలుగబోవుదానిని గూర్చి నీవు సెలవిచ్చియున్నావు. యెహోవా నా ప్రభువా, దావీదు అను నేను ఇక నీతో ఏమి చెప్పుకొందును?

19. and hast yet further made this seem little in thine eyes, My Lord, Yahweh, in that thou hast spoken, even of the house, of thy servant, for a great while to come? This, then is the law of manhood, O My Lord, Yahweh!

20. యెహోవా నా ప్రభువా, నీ దాసుడనైన నన్ను నీవు ఎరిగియున్నావు.

20. What more, then, can David yet further speak unto thee, seeing that, thou thyself knowest thy servant, O My Lord Yahweh?

21. నీ వాక్కునుబట్టి నీ యిష్టానుసారముగా ఈ ఘనకార్యములను జరిగించి నీ దాసుడనగు నాకు దీని తెలియజేసితివి.

21. For the sake of thine own word, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this great thing, making it known unto thy servant.

22. కాబట్టి దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు అత్యంతమైన ఘనతగలవాడవు, నీవంటి దేవుడొకడును లేడు; మేము వినిన దానినంత టిని బట్టి చూడగా నీవు తప్ప దేవుడెవడును లేడు.

22. For this cause, hast thou magnified thyself, O Yahweh Elohim, for there is none like unto, thee, yea there is no God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23. నీకు జనులగుటకై వారిని నీవు విమోచించునట్లును, నీకు ఖ్యాతి కలుగునట్లును, నీ జనులనుబట్టి నీ దేశమునకు భీకరమైన మహాకార్యములను చేయునట్లును దేవుడవైన నీవు ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండియు, ఆ జనుల వశములోనుండియు, వారి దేవతల వశములో నుండియు నీవు విమోచించిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనునట్టి నీ జనులవంటి జనము లోకమునందు మరి ఎక్కడనున్నది.

23. Who, then, is like thy people, like Israel, a nation alone in the earth? whom God went to redeem for himself as a people, so to make himself a name, and to do for you the great deed, fearful things also for thy land, to make way for thy people, whom thou hadst redeemed for thyself, out of Egypt, dealing with nations and their god's;

24. మరియు యెహోవావైన నీవు వారికి దేవుడవైయుండి, వారు నిత్యము నీకు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను పేరుగల జనులై యుండునట్లుగా వారిని నిర్ధారణ చేసితివి.

24. and hast established for thyself thy people Israel for thyself as a people, unto times age-abiding, thou thyself, also, O Yahweh, becoming their God.

25. దేవా యెహోవా, నీ దాసుడనగు నన్ను గూర్చియు నా కుటుంబ మునుగూర్చియు నీవు సెలవిచ్చినమాట యెన్నటికి నిలుచు నట్లు దృఢపరచి

25. Now, therefore, O Yahweh Elohim, the word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, confirm thou, unto times age-abiding, and do, as thou hast spoken:

26. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు దేవుడై యున్నాడను మాటచేత నీ నామమునకు శాశ్వత మహిమ కలుగునట్లును, నీ దాసుడనైన నా కుటుంబము నీ సన్నిధిని స్థిరపరచబడునట్లును నీవు సెలవిచ్చినమాట నెరవేర్చుము.

26. that thy name may be age-abidingly magnified, saying, Yahweh of hosts, is God over Israel, and so, the house of thy servant David, be established before thee.

27. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవానీకు సంతానము కలుగజేయుదునని నీవు నీ దాసుడనైన నాకు తెలియపరచితివి గనుక ఈలాగున నీతో మనవి చేయుటకై నీ దాసుడనైన నాకు ధైర్యము కలిగెను.

27. For, thou, O Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, hast unveiled the ear of thy servant, saying A house, will I build for thee. For this cause, hath thy servant found in his heart, to pray unto thee, this prayer.

28. యెహోవా నా ప్రభువా, మేలు దయచేయుదునని నీవు నీ దాసుడనైన నాకు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నావే; నీవు దేవుడవు గనుక నీ మాట సత్యము.

28. Now, therefore, O My Lord, Yahweh, thou, art God, and, thy words, shall prove true, therefore hast thou spoken unto thy servant this goodness.

29. దయచేసి నీ దాసుడనైన నా కుటుంబము నిత్యము నీ సన్నిధిని ఉండునట్లుగా దానిని ఆశీర్వ దించుము; యెహోవా నా ప్రభువా, నీవు సెలవిచ్చి యున్నావు; నీ ఆశీర్వాదమునొంది నా కుటుంబము నిత్యము ఆశీర్వదింపబడును గాక.

29. Now, therefore, be pleased to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue age-abidingly before thee, for, thou, O My Lord, Yahweh, hast spoken, therefore, with thine own blessing, shall the house of thy servant be age-abidingly blessed.
