1. తరువాత తూరునకు రాజైన హీరాము తన తండ్రికి బదులుగా సొలొమోను పట్టాభిషేకము నొందెనని విని తన సేవకులను సొలొమోనునొద్దకు పంపెను; ఏలయనగా హీరాము ఎప్పటికి దావీదుతో స్నేహముగా నుండెను.

1. And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Salomon, for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father. And thereto Hiram was ever a lover of David's.

2. హీరామునొద్దకు సొలొమోను ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెను.

2. And Salomon sent again to Hiram saying:

3. యెహోవా నా తండ్రియైన దావీదు శత్రువులను అతని పాదములక్రింద అణచు వరకు అన్నివైపులను యుద్ధములు అతనికి కలిగియుండెను.

3. thou knowest of David my father, how he could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for war which he had on every side, until the LORD had put them under his foot.

4. తన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామ ఘనతకు అతడు మందిరమును కట్టింప వీలులేక పోయెనన్న సంగతి నీ వెరుగుదువు. ఇప్పుడు శత్రువు ఒకడును లేకుండను అపాయమేమియు కలుగకుండను నా దేవుడైన యెహోవా నలుదిశలను నాకు నెమ్మది దయచేసి యున్నాడు.

4. But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor any evil plague.

5. కాబట్టినీ సింహాసనముమీద నేను నీకు బదులుగా కూర్చుండబెట్టు నీ కుమారుడు నా నామఘనతకు ఒక మందిరమును కట్టించునని యెహోవా నా తండ్రి యైన దావీదునకు సెలవిచ్చినట్లు నా దేవు డైన యెహోవా నామఘనతకు ఒక మందిరమును కట్టించుటకు నేను ఉద్దేశము గలవాడనై యున్నాను.

5. And therefore I am disposed to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as he promised David my father saying: thy son which I will put upon thy seat for thee, he shall build an house unto my name.

6. లెబానోనులో దేవదారు మ్రానులను నరికించుటకై నాకు సెలవిమ్ము; నా సేవకులును నీ సేవకులును కలిసి పని చేయుదురు; మ్రానులను నరుకుట యందు సీదోనీయులకు సాటియైనవారు మాలో ఎవరును లేరని నీకు తెలియును గనుక

6. Now then command that they hew me Cedar trees in Libanon. And let my servants be with thine, and I will give the hire of thy servants in all such things as thou shalt appoint, for thou knowest that there are not among us that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidones.

7. నీ యేర్పాటుచొప్పున నేను నీ సేవకుల జీతము నీకిచ్చెదను అనెను. హీరాము సొలొమోను చెప్పిన మాటలు విని బహుగా సంతోషపడి ఈ గొప్ప జనమును ఏలుటకు జ్ఞానముగల కుమారుని దావీదునకు దయచేసిన యెహోవాకు ఈ దినమున స్తోత్రము కలుగునుగాక అని చెప్పి

7. When Hiram heard the words of Salomon, he rejoiced greatly and said: Blessed be the LORD this day which hath set David a wise son over this mighty people.

8. సొలొమోనునకు ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెనునీవు నాయొద్దకు పంపిన వర్త మానమును నేను అంగీకరించితిని; దేవదారు మ్రానులను గూర్చియు సరళపు మ్రానులనుగూర్చియు నీ కోరిక యంతటి ప్రకారము నేను చేయించెదను.

8. And Hiram sent again to Salomon saying: I have accepted the request which thou sentest to me for, and will satisfy all thy lust, concerning timber of Cedar trees and fir.

9. నా సేవకులు వాటిని లెబానోనునుండి సముద్రమునొద్దకు తెచ్చెదరు; అప్పుడు వాటిని తెప్పలుగా కట్టించి నీవు నాకు నిర్ణయించు స్థలమునకు సముద్రముమీద చేరునట్లు చేసి, అక్కడ అవి నీకు అప్పగింపబడు బందోబస్తు నేను చేయుదును, నీవు వాటిని తీసికొందువు. ఇందునుగూర్చి నీవు నాకోరిక చొప్పున జరిగించి నా యింటివారి సంరక్షణకొరకు ఆహా రము ఇచ్చెదవు.

9. My servants shall bring them from Libanon to the sea. And I will convey them by ship unto the place that thou shalt send me word, and will cause them to be discharged there, that thou mayst receive them. And thou shalt do me this pleasure again, to minister food for mine house.

10. హీరాము సొలొమోనునకు ఇష్టమైనంత మట్టుకు దేవదారు మ్రానులను సరళపు మ్రానులను పంపించగా

10. And so Hiram gave Salomon Cedar trees and fir trees, as much as he desired.

11. సొలొమోను హీరామునకును అతని యింటి వారి సంరక్షణకును ఆహారముగా రెండులక్షల తూముల గోధుమలను మూడు వేల ఎనిమిదివందల పళ్ల స్వచ్ఛమైన నూనెను పంపించెను. ఈ ప్రకారము సొలొమోను ప్రతి సంవత్సరము హీరామునకు ఇచ్చుచువచ్చెను.

11. And Salomon gave Hiram twenty thousand quarters of wheat to feed his household withal, and twenty butts of pure oil. And so much gave Salomon to Hiram year by year.

12. యెహోవా సొలొమోనునకు చేసిన వాగ్దానము చొప్పున అతనికి జ్ఞానము దయచేసెను; మరియు హీరామును సొలొమోనును సంధిచేయగా వారిద్దరికి సమాధానము కలిగియుండెను.

12. And the LORD gave Salomon wisdom as he promised him. And there was peace between Hiram and Salomon and they were confedered together.

13. రాజైన సొలొమోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిచేతను వెట్టిపని చేయించెను; వారిలో ముప్పదివేలమంది వెట్టి పని చేయువారైరి,

13. And king Salomon raised a tribute thorowout all Israel. And the tribute was thirty thousand men,

14. వీరిని అతడు వంతులచొప్పున నెలకు పది వేలమందిని లెబానోనునకు పంపించెను; ఒక నెల లెబా నోనులోను రెండు నెలలు ఇంటియొద్దను వారు ఉండిరి; ఆ వెట్టివారిమీద అదోనీరాము అధికారియై యుండెను.

14. which he sent to Libanon, ten thousand a month by course, so that they were one month in Libanon and two months at home. And Adoniram was over the tribute.

15. మరియు సొలొమోనునకు బరువులు మోయువారు డెబ్బది వేలమందియు పర్వతములందు మ్రానులు నరకువారు ఎను బది వేలమందియు నుండిరి.

15. And Salomon had three score and ten thousand that bare burthens, and three score and ten thousand that hewed in the mountains

16. వీరు కాక పనిమీదనున్న సొలొ మోను శిల్పకారులకు అధికారులు మూడువేల మూడువందలమంది; వీరు పనివారిమీద అధికారులై యుండిరి.

16. besides the lords he had, to oversee the work, in number three thousand and three hundredth, which ruled the people that wrought in the work.

17. రాజు సెలవియ్యగా వారు మందిరముయొక్క పునాదిని చెక్కిన రాళ్లతో వేయుటకు గొప్ప రాళ్లను మిక్కిలి వెలగల రాళ్లను తెప్పించిరి.

17. And at the commandment of the king, they brought great stones and that free stones, and hewed thereto, to lay in the foundation of the house.

18. ఈలాగున సొలొమోను పంపినవారును గిబ్లీయులును, హీరాము శిల్పకారు లును మ్రానులను నరికి రాళ్లను మలిచి మందిరము కట్టుటకు మ్రానులను రాళ్లను సిద్ధపరచిరి.

18. And Salomon's masons and the masons of Hiram did hew them, with them of the borders. And so they prepared both in timber and stone to build the house.
