1. దావీదు తనకొరకు దావీదుపురమందు ఇండ్లు కట్టించెను; దేవుని మందస మునకు ఒక స్థలమును సిద్ధపరచి, దానిమీద గుడారమొకటి వేయించెను.

1. David erected buildings for himself in the City of David, prepared a place for the ark of God, and set up a tent for it.

2. మందసమును ఎత్తుటకును నిత్యము తనకు సేవ చేయుటకును యెహోవా లేవీయులను ఏర్పరచుకొనెనని చెప్పివారు తప్ప మరి ఎవరును దేవుని మందసమును ఎత్తకూడదని దావీదు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

2. Then David said, 'No one but the [L'vi'im] should carry the ark of God, because ADONAI chose them to carry the ark of ADONAI and to serve him forever.'

3. అంతట దావీదు తాను యెహోవా మందసమునకు సిద్ధపరచిన స్థలమునకు దాని తీసికొనివచ్చుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని యెరూషలేమునకు సమాజముగా కూర్చెను.

3. David assembled all Isra'el in Yerushalayim to bring the ark of ADONAI up to its place, which he had prepared for it.

4. అహరోను సంతతివారిని

4. David gathered together the descendants of Aharon and the [L'vi'im]:

5. లేవీయులైన కహాతు సంతతివారి అధిపతియగు ఊరీయేలును వాని బంధువులలో నూట ఇరువదిమందిని,

5. from the descendants of K'hat: Uri'el the chief, and 120 of his kinsmen;

6. మెరారీయులలో అధిపతియైన అశాయాను వాని బంధువులలో రెండువందల ఇరువది మందిని,

6. from the descendants of M'rari: 'Asayah the chief, and 220 of his kinsmen;

7. గెర్షోను సంతతివారికధిపతియగు యోవే లును వాని బంధువులలో నూట ముప్పదిమందిని,

7. from the descendants of Gershom: Yo'el the chief, and 130 of his kinsmen;

8. ఎలీషాపాను సంతతివారికధిపతియగు షెమయాను వాని బంధు వులలో రెండువందలమందిని,

8. from the descendants of Elitzafan: Sh'ma'yah the chief, and 200 of his kinsmen;

9. హెబ్రోను సంతతివారి కధిపతియగు ఎలీయేలును వాని బంధువులలో ఎనుబది మందిని

9. from the descendants of Hevron: Eli'el the chief, and eighty of his kinsmen;

10. ఉజ్జీయేలు సంతతివారికధిపతియగు అమ్మినా దాబును వాని బంధువులలో నూట పండ్రెండుగురిని దావీదు సమకూర్చెను.

10. and from the descendants of 'Uzi'el: 'Amminadav the chief, and 112 of his kinsmen.

11. అంతట దావీదు యాజకులైన సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును లేవీయులైన ఊరియేలు అశాయా యోవేలు షెమయా ఎలీయేలు అమ్మినాదాబు అనువారిని పిలిపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెను.

11. David called for Tzadok and Evyatar the [cohanim] and for the [L'vi'im-] Uri'el, 'Asayah, Yo'el, Sh'ma'yah, Eli'el and 'Amminadav-

12. లేవీయుల పితరుల సంతతులకుమీరు పెద్దలై యున్నారు.

12. and said to them, 'You are the clan leaders of the [L'vi'im]. Consecrate yourselves, both you and your kinsmen, to bring the ark of ADONAI the God of Isra'el up to the place I have prepared for it.

13. ఇంతకుముందు మీరు ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా మందసమును మోయక యుండుటచేతను, మనము మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా యొద్ద విధినిబట్టి విచారణచేయకుండుటచేతను, ఆయన మనలో నాశనము కలుగజేసెను; కావున ఇప్పుడు మీరును మీవారును మిమ్మును మీరు ప్రతిష్ఠించుకొని, నేను ఆ మందసమునకు సిద్ధపరచిన స్థలమునకు దాని తేవలెను.

13. It's because you weren't there the first time that ADONAI our God broke out against us. We didn't seek him out according to the rule.'

14. అప్పుడు యాజకులును లేవీయులును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా మందసమును తెచ్చుటకై తమ్మును తాము ప్రతిష్ఠించుకొనిరి.

14. So the [cohanim] and [L'vi'im] consecrated themselves to bring up the ark of ADONAI the God of Isra'el;

15. తరువాత లేవీయులు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాటనుబట్టి మోషే ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు దేవుని మందసమును దాని దండెలతో తమ భుజముల మీదికి ఎత్తికొనిరి.

15. and the [L'vi'im] carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles on it, as Moshe had ordered, according to what ADONAI had said.

16. అంతట దావీదుమీరు మీ బంధువులగు పాటకులను పిలిచి, స్వరమండలములు సితారాలు తాళములు లోనగు వాద్యవిశేషములతో గంభీర ధ్వని చేయుచు, సంతోషముతో స్వరములెత్తి పాడునట్లు ఏర్పాటుచేయుడని లేవీయుల అధిపతులకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

16. David spoke to the chief of the [L'vi'im] to appoint their kinsmen to be singers making use of musical instruments- lutes, lyres and cymbals- to play loudly and raise sounds of joy.

17. కావున లేవీయులు యోవేలు కుమారుడైన హేమానును, వాని బంధువులలో బెరెక్యా కుమారుడైన ఆసాపును, తమ బంధువులగు మెరారీయులలో కూషాయాహు కుమారుడైన ఏతానును,

17. So the [L'vi'im] appointed Heman the son of Yo'el; of his kinsmen, Asaf the son of Berekhyahu; of the descendants of M'rari their kinsmen, Eitan the son of Kushayahu;

18. వీరితోకూడ రెండవ వరుసగానున్న తమ బంధువులైన జెకర్యా బేను యహజీయేలు షెమీరా మోతు యెహీయేలు ఉన్నీ ఏలీయాబు బెనాయా మయ శేయా మత్తిత్యా ఎలీప్లేహు మిక్నేయాహులనువారిని ద్వారపాలకులగు ఓబేదెదోమును యెహీయేలును పాటకు లనుగా నియమించిరి.

18. and with them their second-degree kinsmen Z'kharyahu, Ben, Ya'azi'el, Sh'miramot, Yechi'el, 'Uni, Eli'av, B'nayahu, Ma'aseiyahu, Mattityahu, Elif'lehu, Mikneyahu, with 'Oved-Edom and Ye'i'el the gatekeepers.

19. పాటకులైన హేమానును ఆసాపును ఏతానును పంచలోహముల తాళములు వాయించుటకు నిర్ణయింపబడిరి.

19. The singers Heman, Asaf and Eitan were appointed to sound the bronze cymbals.

20. జెకర్యా అజీయేలు షెమీరామోతు యెహీయేలు ఉన్నీ ఏలీయాబు మయశేయా బెనాయా అనువారు హెచ్చు స్వరముగల స్వరమండలములను వాయించుటకు నిర్ణయింపబడిరి.

20. Z'kharyahu, 'Azi'el, Sh'miramot, Yechi'el, 'Uni, Eli'av, Ma'aseiyahu and B'nayahu were to play the lutes for ['alamot] [[high-pitched music?]].

21. మరియు మత్తిత్యా ఎలీప్లేహు మిక్నేయాహు ఓబేదెదోము యెహీయేలు అజజ్యాహు అనువారు రాగమెత్తుటకును సితారాలు వాయించుటకును నిర్ణయింపబడిరి.

21. Mattityahu, Elif'lehu, Mikneyahu, 'Oved-Edom, Ye'i'el and 'Azazyahu were to play lyres to lead the [sh'minit] [[low-pitched music?]].

22. లేవీయుల కధిపతియైన కెనన్యా మందసమును మోయుటయందు గట్టివాడై నందున అతడు మోతక్రమము నేర్పుటకై నియమింపబడెను.

22. K'nanyahu, chief of the [L'vi'im], was in charge of the singing; he was put in charge of the singing because he was skillful at it.

23. బెరెక్యాయును ఎల్కానాయును మందస మునకు ముందునడుచు కావలివారుగాను

23. Berekhyahu and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.

24. షెబన్యా యెహోషాపాతు నెతనేలు అమాశై జెకర్యా బెనాయా ఎలీయెజెరు అను యాజకులు దేవుని మందసమునకు ముందు బూరలు ఊదువారుగాను, ఓబేదెదోమును యెహీయాయును వెనుకతట్టు కనిపెట్టువారుగాను నియమింపబడిరి.

24. Sh'vanyahu, Yoshafat, N'tan'el, 'Amasai, Z'kharyahu, B'nayahu and Eli'ezer the [cohanim] blew the trumpets in front of the ark of God. 'Oved-Edom and Yechiyah were gatekeepers for the ark.

25. దావీదును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలును సహస్రాధిపతులును యెహోవా నిబంధన మందసమును ఓబేదెదోము ఇంటిలోనుండి తెచ్చుటకై ఉత్సాహముతో పోయిరి.

25. So David, the leaders of Isra'el and the commanders over thousands went to bring up the ark for the covenant of ADONAI out from the house of 'Oved-Edom with joy.

26. యెహోవా నిబంధన మందసమును మోయు లేవీయులకు దేవుడు సహాయముచేయగా వారు ఏడు కోడె లను ఏడు గొఱ్ఱెపొట్టేళ్లను బలులుగా అర్పించిరి.

26. Since God was helping the [L'vi'im] who were carrying the ark for the covenant of ADONAI, they sacrificed seven young bulls and seven rams.

27. దావీదును మందసమును మోయు లేవీయులందరును పాటకులును పాటకుల పనికి విచారణకర్తయగు కెనన్యాయును సన్నపునారతో నేయబడిన వస్త్రములు ధరించుకొని యుండిరి, దావీదును సన్నపు నారతో నేయబడిన ఏఫోదును ధరించియుండెను.

27. David, all the [L'vi'im] bearing the ark, the singers and K'nanyah the music leader for the singers were all wearing linen cloaks; and David was also wearing a linen ritual vest.

28. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరును ఆర్బా éటము చేయుచు, కొమ్ములు బూరలు ఊదుచు, తాళములు కొట్టుచు, స్వరమండలములు సితారాలు వాయించుచు యెహోవా నిబంధన మందసమును తీసికొనివచ్చిరి.

28. So all Isra'el brought up the ark for the covenant of ADONAI with shouting; blowing on [shofar]s and trumpets; and cymbals sounding with lutes and lyres.

29. యెహోవా నిబంధన మందసము దావీదుపురములోనికి రాగా సౌలు కుమార్తెయైన మీకాలు కిటికీలోనుండి చూచి రాజైన దావీదు నాట్యమాడుటయు వాయించుటయు కనుగొని తన మనస్సులో అతని హీనపరచెను.

29. As the ark for the covenant of ADONAI entered the City of David, Mikhal the daughter of Sha'ul, watching from the window, saw King David dancing and celebrating; and she was filled with contempt for him.
