1. యెహోవాను స్తుతించుడి యెహోవా దయాళుడు ఆయనకు కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించుడి ఆయన కృప నిత్యముండును.

1. Praise ye Jehovah. Oh give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] forever.

2. యెహోవా పరాక్రమకార్యములను ఎవడు వర్ణింపగలడు? ఆయన కీర్తి యంతటిని ఎవడు ప్రకటింపగలడు?

2. Who can utter the mighty acts of Jehovah, Or show forth all his praise?

3. న్యాయము ననుసరించువారు ఎల్లవేళల నీతి ననుసరించి నడుచుకొనువారు ధన్యులు.

3. Blessed are they that keep justice, And he that doeth righteousness at all times.

4. యెహోవా, నీవు ఏర్పరచుకొనినవారి క్షేమము నేను చూచుచు నీ జనులకు కలుగు సంతోషమునుబట్టి నేను సంతోషించుచు

4. Remember me, O Jehovah, with the favor that thou bearest unto thy people; Oh visit me with thy salvation,

5. నీ స్వాస్థ్యమైనవారితో కూడి కొనియాడునట్లు నీ ప్రజలయందు నీకున్న దయచొప్పున నన్ను జ్ఞాపక మునకు తెచ్చుకొనుము నాకు దర్శనమిచ్చి నన్ను రక్షింపుము.

5. That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, That I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, That I may glory with thine inheritance.

6. మా పితరులవలెనే మేము పాపము చేసితివిు దోషములు కట్టుకొని భక్తిహీనులమైతివిు

6. We have sinned with our fathers, We have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

7. ఐగుప్తులో మా పితరులు నీ అద్భుతములను గ్రహింపక యుండిరి నీ కృపాబాహుళ్యమును జ్ఞాపకమునకు తెచ్చుకొనక యుండిరి సముద్రమునొద్ద ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమునొద్ద వారు తిరుగుబాటు చేసిరి.

7. Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; They remembered not the multitude of thy lovingkindnesses, But were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.

8. అయినను తన మహా పరాక్రమమును ప్రసిద్ధి చేయుటకై ఆయన తన నామమునుబట్టి వారిని రక్షించెను.

8. Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, That he might make his mighty power to be known.

9. ఆయన ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమును గద్దింపగా అది ఆరిపోయెను మైదానముమీద నడుచునట్లు వారిని అగాధజలములలో నడిపించెను.

9. He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up: So he led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.

10. వారి పగవారి చేతిలోనుండి వారిని రక్షించెను శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి వారిని విమోచించెను.

10. And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11. నీళ్లు వారి శత్రువులను ముంచివేసెను వారిలో ఒక్కడైనను మిగిలియుండలేదు.

11. And the waters covered their adversaries; There was not one of them left.

12. అప్పుడు వారు ఆయన మాటలు నమ్మిరి ఆయన కీర్తి గానము చేసిరి.

12. Then believed they his words; They sang his praise.

13. అయినను వారు ఆయన కార్యములను వెంటనే మరచి పోయిరి ఆయన ఆలోచనకొరకు కనిపెట్టుకొనకపోయిరి.

13. They soon forgat his works; They waited not for his counsel,

14. అరణ్యములో వారు బహుగా ఆశించిరి ఎడారిలో దేవుని శోధించిరి

14. But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert.

15. వారు కోరినది ఆయన వారికిచ్చెను అయినను వారి ప్రాణములకు ఆయన క్షీణత కలుగజేసెను.

15. And he gave them their request, But sent leanness into their soul.

16. వారు తమ దండు పాళెములో మోషేయందును యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితుడైన అహరోనునందును అసూయపడిరి.

16. They envied Moses also in the camp, [And] Aaron the saint of Jehovah.

17. భూమి నెరవిడిచి దాతానును మింగెను అది అబీరాము గుంపును కప్పివేసెను.

17. The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, And covered the company of Abiram.

18. వారి సంఘములో అగ్ని రగిలెను దాని మంట భక్తిహీనులను కాల్చివేసెను.

18. And a fire was kindled in their company; The flame burned up the wicked.

19. హోరేబులో వారు దూడను చేయించుకొనిరి. పోతపోసిన విగ్రహమునకు నమస్కారము చేసిరి

19. They made a calf in Horeb, And worshipped a molten image.

20. తమ మహిమాస్పదమును గడ్డిమేయు ఎద్దు రూపము నకు మార్చిరి.

20. Thus they changed their glory For the likeness of an ox that eateth grass.

21. ఐగుప్తులో గొప్ప కార్యములను హాముదేశములో ఆశ్చర్యకార్యములను

21. They forgat God their Saviour, Who had done great things in Egypt,

22. ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమునొద్ద భయము పుట్టించు క్రియలను చేసిన తమ రక్షకుడైన దేవుని మరచిపోయిరి.

22. Wondrous works in the land of Ham, [And] terrible things by the Red Sea.

23. అప్పుడు ఆయననేను వారిని నశింపజేసెదననెను. అయితే ఆయన వారిని నశింపజేయకుండునట్లు ఆయన కోపము చల్లార్చుటకై ఆయన ఏర్పరచుకొనిన మోషే ఆయన సన్నిధిని నిలిచి అడ్డుపడెను

23. Therefore he said that he would destroy them, Had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy [them].

24. వారు రమ్యమైన దేశమును నిరాకరించిరి ఆయన మాట నమ్మకపోయిరి

24. Yea, they despised the pleasant land, They believed not his word,

25. యెహోవా మాట ఆలకింపక వారు తమ గుడారములో సణుగుకొనిరి.

25. But murmured in their tents, And hearkened not unto the voice of Jehovah.

26. అప్పుడు అరణ్యములో వారిని కూలచేయుటకును

26. Therefore he sware unto them, That he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

27. అన్యజనులలో వారి సంతానమును కూల్చుటకును దేశములో వారిని చెదరగొట్టుటకును ఆయన వారిమీద చెయ్యి యెత్తెను.

27. And that he would overthrow their seed among the nations, And scatter them in the lands.

28. మరియు వారు బయల్పెయోరును హత్తుకొని, చచ్చిన వారికి అర్పించిన బలిమాంసమును భుజించిరి.

28. They joined themselves also unto Baal-peor, And ate the sacrifices of the dead.

29. వారు తమ క్రియలచేత ఆయనకు కోపము పుట్టించగా వారిలో తెగులు రేగెను.

29. Thus they provoked him to anger with their doings; And the plague brake in upon them.

30. ఫీనెహాసు లేచి పరిహారముచేయగా ఆ తెగులు ఆగిపోయెను.

30. Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment; And so the plague was stayed.

31. నిత్యము తరములన్నిటను అతనికి ఆ పని నీతిగా ఎంచబడెను.

31. And that was reckoned unto him for righteousness, Unto all generations for evermore.

32. మెరీబా జలములయొద్ద వారు ఆయనకు కోపము పుట్టించిరి కావున వారి మూలముగా మోషేకు బాధ కలిగెను.

32. They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, So that it went ill with Moses for their sakes;

33. ఎట్లనగా వారు అతని ఆత్మమీద తిరుగుబాటు చేయగా అతడు తన పెదవులతో కానిమాట పలికెను.

33. Because they were rebellious against his spirit, And he spake unadvisedly with his lips.

34. యెహోవా వారికి ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు వారు అన్యజనులను నాశనము చేయకపోయిరి.

34. They did not destroy the peoples, As Jehovah commanded them,

35. అన్యజనులతో సహవాసము చేసి వారి క్రియలు నేర్చుకొనిరి.

35. But mingled themselves with the nations, And learned their works,

36. వారి విగ్రహములకు పూజచేసిరి అవి వారికి ఉరి ఆయెను.

36. And served their idols, Which became a snare unto them.

37. మరియు వారు తమ కూమారులను తమ కుమార్తెలను దయ్యములకు బలిగా అర్పించిరి.

37. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons,

38. నిరపరాధ రక్తము, అనగా తమ కుమారుల రక్తము తమ కుమార్తెల రక్తము ఒలికించిరి కనానుదేశపువారి బొమ్మలకు వారిని బలిగా అర్పించిరి ఆ రక్తమువలన దేశము అపవిత్రమాయెను

38. And shed innocent blood, Even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, Whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.

39. తమ క్రియలవలన వారు అపవిత్రులైరి తమ నడవడిలో వ్యభిచరించినవారైరి.

39. Thus were they defiled with their works, And played the harlot in their doings.

40. కావున యెహోవా కోపము ఆయన ప్రజలమీద రగులుకొనెను ఆయన తనస్వాస్థ్యమందు అసహ్యపడెను.

40. Therefore was the wrath of Jehovah kindled against his people, And he abhorred his inheritance.

41. ఆయన వారిని అన్యజనులచేతికి అప్పగించెను వారి పగవారు వారిని ఏలుచుండిరి.

41. And he gave them into the hand of the nations; And they that hated them ruled over them.

42. వారి శత్రువులు వారిని బాధపెట్టిరి వారు శత్రువులచేతి క్రింద అణపబడిరి.

42. Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand.

43. అనేక పర్యాయములు ఆయన వారిని విడిపించెను అయినను వారు తమ ఆలోచనను అనుసరించి తిరుగుబాటు చేయుచువచ్చిరి. తమ దోషముచేత హీనదశనొందిరి.

43. Many times did he deliver them; But they were rebellious in their counsel, And were brought low in their iniquity.

44. అయినను వారిరోదనము తనకు వినబడగా వారికి కలిగిన శ్రమను ఆయన చూచెను.

44. Nevertheless he regarded their distress, When he heard their cry:

45. వారిని తలంచుకొని ఆయన తన నిబంధనను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనెను తన కృపాబాహుళ్యమునుబట్టి వారిని కరుణించెను.

45. And he remembered for them his covenant, And repented according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

46. వారిని చెరగొనిపోయిన వారికందరికి వారియెడల కనికరము పుట్టించెను.

46. He made them also to be pitied Of all those that carried them captive.

47. యెహోవా మాదేవా, మమ్మును రక్షింపుము మేము నీ పరిశుద్ధనామమునకు కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించునట్లును నిన్నుస్తుతించుచు మేమతిశయించునట్లును అన్యజనులలోనుండి మమ్మును పోగుచేయుము.

47. Save us, O Jehovah our God, And gather us from among the nations, To give thanks unto thy holy name, And to triumph in thy praise.

48. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా యుగములన్నిటను స్తుతినొందును గాక ప్రజలందరుఆమేన్‌ అందురుగాక. యెహోవానుస్తుతించుడి.

48. Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye Jehovah.
