1. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా యెవరి దేశమును నీకిచ్చు చున్నాడో ఆ జనములను నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నాశనము చేసిన తరువాత నీవు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొని, వారి పట్టణములలోను వారి యిండ్ల లోను నివసించునప్పుడు

1. And when the Lord your God shall have destroyed the nations, which God gives you, [even] the land, and you shall inherit them, and dwell in their cities, and in their houses,

2. నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో మూడు పురములను వేరుపరచ వలెను.

2. you shall separate for yourself three cities in the midst of your land, which the Lord your God gives you.

3. ప్రతి నరహంతకుడు పారిపోవునట్లుగా నీవు త్రోవను ఏర్పరచుకొని, నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశముయొక్క సరి హద్దులలోగా ఉన్న పురములను మూడు భాగములు చేయవలెను.

3. Take a survey of your way, and you shall divide the coasts of your land, which the Lord your God apportions to you, into three parts, and there shall be there a refuge for every manslayer.

4. పారిపోయి బ్రదుకగల నరహంతకుని గూర్చిన పద్ధతి యేదనగా, ఒకడు అంతకుముందు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగపట్టక

4. And this shall be the ordinance of the manslayer who shall flee there, and shall live, whosoever has killed his neighbor ignorantly, seeing that he did not hate him in times past.

5. పొరబాటున వాని చంపిన యెడల, అనగా ఒకడు చెట్లు నరుకుటకు తన పొరుగు వానితోకూడ అడవికిపోయి చెట్లు నరుకుటకు తన చేతితో గొడ్డలిదెబ్బ వేసినప్పుడు, గొడ్డలి పిడి ఊడి వాని పొరుగు వానికి తగిలి వాడు చనిపోయిన యెడల, వాడు అంతకు ముందు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగపట్టలేదు గనుక

5. And whoever shall enter with his neighbor into the thicket, to gather wood, if the hand of him that cuts wood with the ax should be violently shaken, and the axhead should fall off from the handle and strike his neighbor, and he should die, then he shall flee to one of these cities, and live.

6. వానికి మరణదండన విధిలేదు. అయితే హత్య విషయ ములో ప్రతిహత్య చేయువాని మనస్సు కోపముతో మండు చుండగా, మార్గము దూరమైనందున వాడు నరహంతకుని తరిమి వాని కలిసికొని వాని చావగొట్టకయుండునట్లు ఆ నరహంతకుడు పారిపోయి ఆ పురములలో ఒకదానియందు జొచ్చి బ్రదుకును.

6. Lest the avenger of blood pursue after the manslayer, because his heart is hot, and overtake him, if the way be too long, and kill him, though there is to this man no sentence of death, because he did not hate him in times past.

7. అందుచేతనుమూడు పురములను నీకు ఏర్పరచుకొనవలెనని నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాను.

7. Therefore I command you, saying, You shall separate for yourself three cities.

8. మరియు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ పితరులతో ప్రమా ణముచేసినట్లు ఆయన నీ సరిహద్దులను విశాలపరచి, నీ పితరులకు ఇచ్చెదనని చెప్పిన సమస్తదేశమును నీకిచ్చిన యెడల నీవు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమించుచు

8. And if the Lord shall enlarge your borders, as He swore to your fathers, and the Lord shall give to you all the land which He said he would give to your fathers;

9. నిత్యమును ఆయన మార్గములలో నడుచుటకు నేడు నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించిన యీ ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరించి నడుచుచు, ఈ మూడు పురములు గాక మరి మూడు పురములను ఏర్పరచుకొనవలెను.

9. if you shall hearken to do all these commands which I charge you this day, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways continually, you shall add for yourself yet three cities to these three.

10. ప్రాణము తీసిన దోషము నీమీద మోపబడకుండునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు స్వాస్థ్య ముగా ఇచ్చుచున్న నీ దేశమున నిర్దోషియొక్క ప్రాణము తీయకుండవలెను.

10. So innocent blood shall not be spilled in the land which the Lord your God gives you to inherit, and there shall not be in you one guilty of blood.

11. ఒకడు తన పొరుగువానియందు పగ పట్టి వానికొరకు పొంచియుండి వానిమీదపడి వాడు చచ్చునట్లు కొట్టి

11. But if there should be in you a man hating his neighbor, and he should lay wait for him, and rise up against him, and strike him, that he die, and he should flee to one of these cities,

12. ఆ పురములలో ఒకదాని లోనికి పారి పోయినయెడల, వాని ఊరిపెద్దలు మనుష్యులను పంపి అక్కడనుండి వానిని రప్పించి వానిని చంపుటకై హత్య విషయములో ప్రతిహత్యచేయువానిచేతికి వాని నప్పగింప వలెను.

12. then shall the elders of his city send, and take him from there, and they shall deliver him into the hands of the avengers of blood, and he shall die.

13. వాని కటాక్షింపకూడదు; నీకు మేలు కలుగు నట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మధ్యనుండి నిర్దోషి ప్రాణవిషయ మైన దోషమును పరిహరింపవలెను.

13. Your eye shall not spare him; so shall you purge innocent blood from Israel, and it shall be well with you.

14. నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో నీకు కలుగు నీ స్వాస్థ్యములో పూర్వికులు నియమించిన నీ పొరుగువాని సరిహద్దు రాతిని నీవు తీసివేయకూడదు.

14. You shall not move the landmarks of your neighbor, which your fathers set in the inheritance, in which you have obtained a share in the land, which the Lord your God gives you to inherit.

15. ఒకడు చేయు సమస్త పాపములలో ఏ అపరాధమును గూర్చియే గాని యే పాపమునుగూర్చియే గాని ఒక సాక్షి యొక్క సాక్ష్యమును అంగీకరింపకూడదు. ఇద్దరు సాక్షుల మాటమీదనైనను ముగ్గురు సాక్షుల మాటమీదనైనను ప్రతి సంగతి స్థిరపరచబడును.

15. One witness shall not stand to testify against a man for any iniquity, or for any fault, or for any sin which he may commit; by the mouth of two witnesses, or by the mouth of three witnesses, shall every word be established.

16. అన్యాయపు సాక్ష్యము ఒకని మీద చెప్పుటకు ఒకడు నిలువబడి నేరము మోపుటకై అబద్ధమాడినయెడల

16. And if an unjust witness rise up against a man, alleging iniquity against him,

17. ఆ వివాదముగల ఇద్దరు మనుష్యులు యెహోవా సన్నిధిని, అనగా ఆ కాలములోనున్న యాజ కుల యెదుటను న్యాయాధిపతుల యెదుటను నిలువ వలెను.

17. then shall the two men between whom the controversy is, stand before the Lord, and before the priests, and before the judges, who may be in those days.

18. ఆ న్యాయాధిపతులు బాగుగా విమర్శించిన తరువాత వాని సాక్ష్యము అబద్ధసాక్ష్యమై తన సహో దరునిమీద వాడు అబద్ధసాక్ష్యము చెప్పిన సంగతి వెల్లడి యైన యెడల, వాడు తన సహోదరునికి చేయ తలంచినట్లే వానికి చేయవలెను.

18. And the judges shall make diligent inquiry; and behold, [if] an unjust witness has borne unjust testimony, [and] has stood up against his brother,

19. అట్లు మీ మధ్యనుండి ఆ చెడుతన మును పరిహరించుదురు.
1 కోరింథీయులకు 5:13

19. then shall you do to him as he wickedly devised to do against his brother, and you shall remove the evil from yourselves.

20. మిగిలినవారు విని భయపడి నీ దేశమున అట్టి దుష్కార్యము ఇకను చేయకుందురు.

20. And the rest shall hear and fear, and do no more according to this evil thing in the midst of you.

21. నీవు ఎవనిని కటాక్షింపకూడదు, ప్రాణమునకు ప్రాణము కంటికి కన్ను పంటికి పల్లు చేతికి చెయ్యి కాలికి కాలు మీకు విధి.

21. Your eye shall not spare him; [you shall exact] life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, and foot for foot.
