1. ఇదియైన తరువాత అబ్షాలోము ఒక రథమును గుఱ్ఱ ములను సిద్ధపరచి, తనయెదుట పరుగెత్తుటకై యేబదిమంది బంటులను ఏర్పరచుకొనెను.

1. After this, Absalom prepared him charets and horses, and fiftie men to runne before him.

2. ఉదయముననే లేచి బయలుదేరి పట్టణముయొక్క గుమ్మపు మార్గమందు ఒక తట్టున నిలిచి, రాజుచేత తీర్పునొందుటకై వ్యాజ్యెమాడు వారెవరైనను వచ్చియుండగా కనిపెట్టి వారిని పిలిచినీవు ఏ ఊరివాడవని యడుగుచుండెనునీ దాసుడనైన నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములలో ఫలానిదానికి చేరిన వాడనని వాడు చెప్పగా

2. And Absalom rose vp early, and stoode hard by the entring in of the gate: and euery man that had any matter, and came to the King for iudgement, him did Absalom call vnto him, and sayde, Of what citie art thou? And he answered, Thy seruant is of one of the tribes of Israel.

3. అబ్షాలోమునీ వ్యాజ్యెము సరిగాను న్యాయముగాను ఉన్నదిగాని దానిని విచారించు టకై నియమింపబడిన వాడు రాజునొద్ద ఒకడును లేడని చెప్పి

3. Then Absalom said vnto him, See, thy matters are good and righteous, but there is no man deputed of the King to heare thee.

4. నేను ఈ దేశమునకు న్యాయాధిపతినైయుండుట యెంత మేలు; అప్పుడు వ్యాజ్యెమాడు వారు నాయొద్దకు వత్తురు, నేను వారికి న్యాయము తీర్చుదునని చెప్పుచు వచ్చెను.

4. Absalom sayd moreouer, Oh that I were made Iudge in the lande, that euery man which hath any matter of controuersie, might come to me, that I might do him iustice.

5. మరియు తనకు నమస్కారము చేయుటకై యెవడైనను తన దాపునకు వచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు తన చేయి చాపి అతని పట్టుకొని ముద్దుపెట్టుకొనుచు వచ్చెను.

5. And when any man came neere to him, and did him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and tooke him, and kissed him.

6. తీర్పునొందుటకై రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కందరికి అబ్షాలోము ఈ ప్రకారము చేసి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నందరిని తనతట్టు త్రిప్పుకొనెను.

6. And on this maner did Absalom to al Israel, that came to the King for iudgement: so Absalom stale the hearts of the men of Israel.

7. నాలుగు సంవత్సరములు జరిగినమీదట అబ్షాలోము రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చినీ దాసుడనైన నేను సిరియ దేశము నందలి గెషూరునందుండగాయెహోవా నన్ను యెరూష లేమునకు తిరిగి రప్పించినయెడల నేను ఆయనను సేవించె దనని మ్రొక్కు కొంటిని గనుక,

7. And after fourtie yeeres, Absalom sayd vnto the King, I pray thee, let me go to Hebron, and render my vowe which I haue vowed vnto the Lord.

8. నేను హెబ్రోనునకు పోయి యెహోవాకు నేను మ్రొక్కుకొనిన మ్రొక్కుబడి తీర్చుకొనుటకు నాకు సెలవిమ్మని మనవిచేయగా

8. For thy seruant vowed a vowe when I remayned at Geshur, in Aram, saying, If the Lord shall bring me againe in deede to Ierusalem, I will serue the Lord.

9. రాజుసుఖముగా పొమ్మని సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక అతడు లేచి హెబ్రోనునకు పోయెను.

9. And the King sayd vnto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.

10. అబ్షాలోముమీరు బాకానాదము వినునప్పుడు అబ్షాలోము హెబ్రోనులో ఏలుచున్నాడని కేకలు వేయుడని చెప్పుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల గోత్రములన్నిటియొద్దకు వేగుల వారిని పంపెను.

10. Then Absalom sent spyes throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, When yee heare the sound of the trumpet, Ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.

11. విందునకు పిలువబడియుండి రెండువందల మంది యెరూషలేములోనుండి అబ్షాలోముతో కూడ బయలుదేరి యుండిరి, వీరు ఏమియు తెలియక యథార్థమైన మనస్సుతో వెళ్లియుండిరి.

11. And with Absalom went two hundreth men out of Ierusalem, that were called: and they went in their simplicitie, knowing nothing.

12. మరియు బలి అర్పింపవలెనని యుండి అబ్షాలోము గీలోనీయుడైన అహీతో పెలు అను దావీదుయొక్క మంత్రిని గీలో అను అతని ఊరినుండి పిలిపించి యుండెను. అబ్షాలోము దగ్గరకు వచ్చిన జనము మరి మరి యెక్కువగుటచేత కుట్ర బహు బలమాయెను.

12. Also Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite Dauids counseller, from his citie Giloh, while he offred sacrifices: and the treason was great: for the people encreased still with Absalom.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అబ్షాలోముపక్షము వహించిరని దావీదునకు వర్తమానము రాగా

13. Then came a messenger to Dauid, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are turned after Absalom.

14. దావీదు యెరూషలేము నందున్న తన సేవకులకందరికి ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను అబ్షాలోము చేతిలోనుండి మనము తప్పించుకొని రక్షణ నొందలేము; మనము పారిపోదము రండి, అతడు హఠాత్తుగా వచ్చి మనలను పట్టుకొనకను, మనకు కీడుచేయకను, పట్టణమును కత్తివాత హతము చేయకను ఉండునట్లు మనము త్వరగా వెళ్లిపోదము రండి.

14. Then Dauid sayd vnto all his seruants that were with him at Ierusalem, Vp, and let vs flee: for we shall not escape from Absalom: make speede to depart, lest he come suddenly and take vs, and bring euill vpon vs, and smite the citie with the edge of the sworde.

15. అందుకు రాజు సేవకులు ఈలాగు మనవి చేసిరిచిత్తగించుము; నీ దాసుల మైన మేము మా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీవు సెల విచ్చినట్లు చేయుటకు సిద్ధముగా నున్నాము.

15. And the Kings seruants sayd vnto him, Behold, thy seruants are ready to do according to all that my lord the King shall appoynt.

16. అప్పుడు రాజు నగరిని కనిపెట్టుటకై ఉపపత్నులగు పదిమందిని ఉంచిన మీదట తన యింటివారినందరిని వెంటబెట్టుకొని కాలినడకను బయలుదేరెను.

16. So the King departed and all his houshold after him, and the King left ten concubines to keepe the house.

17. రాజును అతని యింటి వారును బయలుదేరి బెత్మెర్హాకుకు వచ్చి బసచేసిరి.

17. And the King went forth and all the people after him, and taried in a place farre off.

18. అతని సేవకులందరును అతని యిరుపార్శ్వముల నడిచిరి; కెరే తీయులందరును పెలేతీయులందరును గాతునుండి వచ్చిన ఆరువందల మంది గిత్తీయులును రాజునకు ముందుగా నడచుచుండిరి.

18. And all his seruants went about him, and all the Cherethites and all the Pelethites and all the Gittites, euen sixe hudreth men which were come after him from Gath, went before the King.

19. రాజు గిత్తీయుడగు ఇత్తయిని కనుగొనినీవు నివాసస్థలము కోరు పరదేశివై యున్నావు; నీవెందుకు మాతో కూడ వచ్చుచున్నావు? నీవు తిరిగి పోయి రాజున్న స్థలమున ఉండుము.

19. Then sayde the King to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore commest thou also with vs? Returne aud abide with the King, for thou art a stranger: depart thou therefore to thy place.

20. నిన్ననే వచ్చిన నీకు, ఎక్కడికి పోవుదుమో తెలియకయున్న మాతోకూడ ఈ తిరుగులాట యెందుకు? నీవు తిరిగి నీ సహోదరులను తోడుకొని పొమ్ము; కృపాసత్యములు నీకు తోడుగా ఉండును గాక యని చెప్పగా

20. Thou camest yesterday, and should I cause thee to wander to day and go with vs? I will goe whither I can: therefore returne thou and cary againe thy brethren: mercy and trueth be with thee.

21. ఇత్తయినేను చచ్చినను బ్రదికినను, యెహోవా జీవముతోడు నా యేలిన వాడవును రాజవునగు నీ జీవముతోడు, ఏ స్థలమందు నా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీవుందువో ఆ స్థలమందే నీ దాసుడనైన నేనుందునని రాజుతో మనవిచేసెను.

21. And Ittai answered the King, and sayde, As the Lord liueth, and as my lord the King liueth, in what place my lord the King shalbe, whether in death or life, euen there surely will thy seruant bee.

22. అందుకు దావీదుఆలాగైతే నీవు రావచ్చునని ఇత్తయితో సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక గిత్తీయుడగు ఇత్తయియును అతని వారందరును అతని కుటుంబికులందరును సాగిపోయిరి.

22. Then Dauid sayd to Ittai, Come, and go forward. And Ittai the Gittite went, and all his men, and all the children that were with him.

23. వారు సాగిపోవు చుండగా జనులందరు బహుగా ఏడ్చుచుండిరి, ఈ ప్రకారము వారందరు రాజుతోకూడ కిద్రోనువాగు దాటి అరణ్యమార్గమున ప్రయాణమై పోయిరి.

23. And all the countrey wept with a loude voyce, and all the people went forward, but the King passed ouer the brooke Kidron: and all the people went ouer toward the way of ye wildernes.

24. సాదోకును లేవీయులందరును దేవుని నిబంధన మందసమును మోయుచు అతనియొద్ద ఉండిరి. వారు దేవుని మందసమును దింపగా అబ్యాతారు వచ్చి పట్టణములోనుండి జనులందరును దాటిపోవు వరకు నిలిచెను.

24. And lo, Zadok also was there, and all the Leuites with him, bearing the Arke of the couenant of God: and they set downe the Arke of God, and Abiathar went vp vntill the people were all come out of the citie.

25. అప్పుడు రాజు సాదోకును పిలిచిదేవుని మందసమును పట్టణములోనికి తిరిగి తీసికొనిపొమ్ము; యెహోవా దృష్టికి నేను అనుగ్రహము పొందినయెడల ఆయన నన్ను తిరిగి రప్పించి

25. Then the King said vnto Zadok, Carie the Arke of God againe into the citie: if I shall finde fauour in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me againe, and shewe me both it, and the Tabernacle thereof.

26. దానిని తన నివాసస్థానమును నాకు చూపించును; నీయందు నాకిష్టము లేదని ఆయన సెలవిచ్చినయెడల ఆయన చిత్తము, నీ దృష్టికి అనుకూలమైనట్టు నాయెడల జరిగించుమని నేను చెప్పుదునని పలికి

26. But if he thus say, I haue no delite in thee, behold, here am I, let him doe to me as seemeth good in his eyes.

27. యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతో ఇట్లనెనుసాదోకూ, నీవు దీర్ఘదర్శివి కావా? శుభమొంది నీవును నీ కుమారుడగు అహిమయస్సు అబ్యాతారునకు పుట్టిన యోనాతాను అను మీ యిద్దరు కుమారులును పట్టణమునకు పోవలెను.

27. The King sayde againe vnto Zadok the Priest, Art not thou a Seer? returne into the citie in peace, and your two sonnes with you: to wit, Ahimaaz thy sonne, and Ionathan the sonne of Abiathar.

28. ఆలకించుము; నీయొద్దనుండి నాకు రూఢియైన వర్తమానము వచ్చువరకు నేను అరణ్య మందలి రేవులదగ్గర నిలిచి యుందును.

28. Behold, I wil tarie in the fieldes of the wildernesse, vntill there come some worde from you to be tolde me.

29. కాబట్టి సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును దేవుని మందసమును యెరూషలేమునకు తిరిగి తీసికొనిపోయి అక్కడ నిలిచిరి.

29. Zadok therefore and Abiathar caried the Arke of God againe to Ierusalem, and they taried there.

30. అయితే దావీదు ఒలీవచెట్ల కొండ యెక్కుచు ఏడ్చుచు, తల కప్పుకొని పాదరక్షలులేకుండ కాలినడకను వెళ్ళెను; అతనియొద్దనున్న జనులందరును తలలు కప్పుకొని యేడ్చుచు కొండ యెక్కిరి.

30. And Dauid went vp the mount of oliues and wept as he went vp, and had his head couered, and went barefooted: and al the people that was with him, had euery man his head couered, and as they went vp, they wept.

31. అంతలో ఒకడు వచ్చి, అబ్షాలోము చేసిన కుట్రలో అహీతోపెలు చేరియున్నాడని దావీదునకు తెలియజేయగా దావీదుయెహోవా అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడ గొట్టుమని ప్రార్థన చేసెను.

31. Then one tolde Dauid, saying, Ahithophel is one of them that haue cospired with Absalom: and Dauid sayde, O Lord, I pray thee, turne the counsell of Ahithophel into foolishnesse.

32. దేవుని ఆరాధించు స్థలమొకటి ఆ కొండమీద ఉండెను. వారు అచ్చటికి రాగా అర్కీయుడైన హూషై పై వస్త్రములు చింపుకొని తలమీద ధూళి పోసికొనివచ్చి రాజును దర్శనము చేసెను.

32. Then Dauid came to the toppe of the mount where he worshipped God: and beholde, Hushai the Archite came against him with his coate torne, and hauing earth vpon his head.

33. రాజునీవు నాతో కూడ వచ్చినయెడల నాకు భారముగా ఉందువు;

33. Vnto whom Dauid sayd, If thou goe with me, thou shalt be a burthen vnto me.

34. నీవు పట్టణమునకు తిరిగి పోయిరాజా, యింతవరకు నీ తండ్రికి నేను సేవచేసినట్లు ఇకను నీకు సేవచేసెదనని అబ్షాలోముతో చెప్పినయెడల నీవు నా పక్షపువాడవై యుండి అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడగొట్ట గలవు.

34. But if thou returne to the citie, and say vnto Absalom, I wil be thy seruant, O King, (as I haue bene in time past thy fathers seruant, so will I now be thy seruant) then thou mayest bring me the counsell of Ahithophel to nought.

35. అక్కడ యాజకులైన సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును నీకు సహాయకులుగా నుందురు; కాబట్టి రాజనగరియందు ఏదైనను జరుగుట నీకు వినబడినయెడల యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతోను అబ్యాతారుతోను దాని చెప్పవలెను.

35. And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the Priests? therefore what so euer thou shalt heare out of the Kings house, thou shalt shew to Zadok and Abiathar the Priests.

36. సాదోకు కుమారుడైన అహిమయస్సు అబ్యాతారు కుమారు డైన యోనాతాను అనువారి ఇద్దరు కుమారులు అచ్చట నున్నారు. నీకు వినబడినదంతయు వారిచేత నాయొద్దకు వర్తమానము చేయుమని చెప్పి అతనిని పంపివేసెను.

36. Beholde, there are with them their two sonnes: Ahimaaz Zadoks sonne, and Ionathan Abiathars sonne: by them also shall ye send me euery thing that ye can heare.

37. దావీదు స్నేహితుడైన హూషై పట్టణమునకు వచ్చు చుండగా అబ్షాలోమును యెరూషలేము చేరెను.

37. So Hushai Dauids friend went into the citie: and Absalom came into Ierusalem.
