1. యెహోవా తన్ను సౌలుచేతిలోనుండియు, తనశత్రువులందరి చేతిలోనుండియు తప్పించిన దినమున దావీదు ఈ గీత వాక్యములను చెప్పియెహోవాను స్తోత్రించెను. అతడిట్లనెను.

1. David said the words of this song to ADONAI on the day ADONAI delivered him from the power of all his enemies and from the power of Sha'ul.

2. యెహోవా నా శైలము, నా కోట, నా రక్షకుడు.

2. He said: 'ADONAI is my Rock, my fortress and deliverer,

3. నా దుర్గము, నేను ఆయనను ఆశ్రయించుదును. నా కేడెము నా రక్షణశృంగమునా ఉన్నతదుర్గము నా ఆశ్రయస్థానము. ఆయనే నాకు రక్షకుడుబలాత్కారులనుండి నన్ను రక్షించువాడవు నీవే.

3. the God who is my Rock, in whom I find shelter, my shield, the power that saves me, my stronghold and my refuge. My savior, you have saved me from violence.

6. the ropes of Sh'ol were wrapped around me, the snares of death lay there before me.

7. నా శ్రమలో నేను యెహోవాకు మొఱ్ఱ పెట్టితిని నా దేవుని ప్రార్థన చేసితిని ఆయన తన ఆలయములో ఆలకించి నా ప్రార్థన అంగీకరించెనునా మొఱ్ఱ ఆయన చెవులలో చొచ్చెను.

7. In my distress I called to ADONAI; yes, I called to my God. Out of his temple he heard my voice, and my cry entered his ears.

8. అప్పుడు భూమి కంపించి అదిరెనుపరమండలపు పునాదులు వణకెనుఆయన కోపింపగా అవి కంపించెను.

8. 'Then the earth quaked and shook, the foundations of heaven trembled. They were shaken because he was angry.

9. ఆయన నాసికారంధ్రములలోనుండి పొగ పుట్టెనుఆయన నోటనుండి అగ్నివచ్చి దహించెనునిప్పు కణములను రాజబెట్టెను.

10. He lowered heaven and came down with thick darkness under his feet.

11. కెరూబుమీద ఎక్కి ఆయన యెగిరి వచ్చెను. గాలి రెక్కలమీద ప్రత్యక్షమాయెను.

11. He rode on a [keruv] and flew, he was seen on the wings of the wind.

12. గుడారమువలె అంధకారము తనచుట్టు వ్యాపింపజేసెను. నీటిమబ్బుల సముదాయములను, ఆకాశపు దట్టపు మేఘములను వ్యాపింపజేసెను.

12. He made darkness his canopy around him, thick clouds in the skies dense with water.

13. ఆయన సన్నిధికాంతిలోనుండి నిప్పుకణములు పుట్టెను.

13. From the brightness before him, fiery coals flamed out.

14. యెహోవా ఆకాశమందు గర్జించెను సర్వోన్నతుడు ఉరుముధ్వని పుట్టించెను.

14. 'ADONAI thundered from heaven, [Ha'Elyon] sounded his voice.

15. తనబాణములను ప్రయోగించి శత్రువులను చెదరగొట్టెనుమెరుపులను ప్రయోగించి వారిని తరిమివేసెనుయెహోవా గద్దింపునకుతన నాసికారంధ్రముల శ్వాసము వడిగావిడువగా ఆయన గద్దింపునకుప్రవాహముల అడుగుభాగములు కనబడెను

15. He sent out arrows and scattered them; with lightning he routed them.

16. భూమి పునాదులు బయలుపడెను.

16. The channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were exposed at ADONAI's rebuke, at the blast of breath from his nostrils.

17. 'He sent from on high, he took me and pulled me out of deep water;

18. బలవంతులగు పగవారు, నన్ను ద్వేషించువారు, నాకంటె బలిష్ఠులై యుండగా వారి వశమునుండి ఆయన నన్ను రక్షించెను.

18. he rescued me from my powerful enemy, from those who hated me, for they were stronger than I.

19. ఆపత్కాలమందు వారు నామీదికి రాగా యెహోవా నన్ను ఆదుకొనెను. విశాలమైన స్థలమునకు నన్ను తోడుకొని వచ్చెను.

19. They came against me on my day of calamity, but ADONAI was my support.

20. నేను ఆయనకు ఇష్టుడను గనుక ఆయన నన్ను తప్పిం చెను.

20. 'He brought me out to an open place; he rescued me, because he took pleasure in me.

21. నా నీతినిబట్టి ఆయన నాకు ప్రతిఫలమిచ్చెను నా నిర్దోషత్వమునుబట్టియే నాకు ప్రతిఫల మిచ్చెను.

21. ADONAI rewarded me for my uprightness, he repaid me because my hands were clean.

22. యెహోవా మార్గములను నేను అనుసరించుచున్నాను. భక్తిహీనుడనై నా దేవుని విడచినవాడను కాను.

22. 'For I have kept the ways of ADONAI, I have not done evil by leaving my God;

23. ఆయన న్యాయవిధుల నన్నిటిని నేను లక్ష్యపెట్టుచున్నాను ఆయన కట్టడలను త్రోసివేసిన వాడనుకాను.

23. for all his rulings were before me, I did not depart from his regulations.

24. దోషక్రియలు నేను చేయనొల్లకుంటిని ఆయన దృష్టికి యథార్థుడనైతిని.

24. I was pure-hearted toward him and kept myself from my sin.

25. కావున నేను నిర్దోషినై యుండుట యెహోవా చూచెను తన దృష్టికి కనబడిన నా చేతుల నిర్దోషత్వమునుబట్టి నాకు ప్రతిఫలమిచ్చెను.

25. 'Hence ADONAI repaid me for my uprightness, according to my purity in his view.

26. దయగలవారియెడల నీవు దయ చూపించుదువు యథార్థవంతులయెడల నీవు యథార్థవంతుడవుగానుందువు.

26. With the merciful, you are merciful; with the champion of purity, you are pure;

27. సద్భావముగల వారియెడల నీవు సద్భావము చూపుదువు మూర్ఖులయెడల నీవు వికటముగా నుందువు.

27. with the honest, you are honest; but with the crooked you are cunning.

28. శ్రమపడువారిని నీవు రక్షించెదవు గర్విష్ఠులకు విరోధివై వారిని అణచి వేసెదవు

28. People afflicted, you save; but when your eyes are on the haughty, you humble them.

29. యెహోవా, నీవు నాకు దీపమై యున్నావు యెహోవా చీకటిని నాకు వెలుగుగా చేయును.

29. 'For you, ADONAI, are my lamp; ADONAI lights up my darkness.

30. నీ సహాయముచేత నేను సైన్యములను జయింతును నా దేవుని సహాయమువలన నేను ప్రాకారములను దాటుదును.

30. With you I can run through a whole troop of men, with my God I can leap a wall.

31. దేవుడు యథార్థవంతుడు యెహోవా వాక్కు నిర్మలము ఆయన శరణుజొచ్చువారికందరికి ఆయన కేడెము.

31. 'As for God, his way is perfect, the word of ADONAI has been tested by fire; he shields all who take refuge in him.

32. యెహోవా తప్ప దేవుడేడి? మన దేవుడు తప్ప ఆశ్రయదుర్గమేది?

32. For who is God but ADONAI, and who is a Rock but our God?

33. దేవుడు నాకు బలమైన కోటగా ఉన్నాడు ఆయన తన మార్గమునందు యథార్థవంతులను నడి పించును.

33. 'God is my strength and protection; he makes my way go straight.

34. ఆయన నా కాళ్లు జింకకాళ్లవలె చేయును ఎత్తయిన స్థలములమీద నన్ను నిలుపును.

34. He makes me swift and sure-footed as a deer and enables me to stand on my high places.

35. నా చేతులకు యుద్ధముచేయ నేర్పువాడు ఆయనే నా బాహువులు ఇత్తడి విల్లును ఎక్కు బెట్టును.

35. He trains my hands for war until my arms can bend a bow of bronze;

36. నీవు నీ రక్షణ కేడెమును నాకు అందించుదువు నీ సాత్వికము నన్ను గొప్పచేయును.

36. You give me your shield, which is salvation; your answers make me great.

37. నా పాదములకు చోటు విశాలపరచుదువు నా చీలమండలు బెణకలేదు.

37. You lengthen the steps I can take, yet my ankles do not turn.

38. నా శత్రువులను తరిమి నాశనము చేయుదును వారిని నశింపజేయువరకు నేను తిరుగను.

38. 'I pursued my enemies and wiped them out, without turning back until they were destroyed.

39. నేను వారిని మింగివేయుదును వారిని తుత్తినియలుగా కొట్టుదును వారు నా పాదముల క్రింద పడి లేవలేకయుందురు.

39. I destroyed them, crushed them; they can't get up; they have fallen under my feet.

40. యుద్ధమునకు బలము నీవు నన్ను ధరింపజేయుదువు నామీదికి లేచినవారిని నీవు అణచివేయుదువు.

40. 'For you braced me with strength for the battle and bent down my adversaries beneath me.

41. నా శత్రువులను వెనుకకు మళ్లచేయుదువు నన్ను ద్వేషించువారిని నేను నిర్మూలము చేయుదును.

41. You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, so that I could destroy those who hate me.

42. వారు ఎదురు చూతురు గాని రక్షించువాడు ఒకడును లేకపోవును వారు యెహోవాకొరకు కనిపెట్టుకొనినను ఆయన వారికి ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యకుండును.

42. 'They looked, but there was no one to help, even to ADONAI, but he didn't answer.

43. నేల ధూళివలె వారిని నలుగగొట్టెదను పొడిగా వారిని కొట్టెదను వీధిలోని పెంటవలె నేను వారిని పారపోసి అణగద్రొక్కెదను.

43. I pulverized them like dust on the ground, pounded and stamped on them like mud in the streets.

44. నా ప్రజల కలహములలో పడకుండ నీవు నన్నువిడిపించితివి జనులకు అధికారిగా నన్ను నిలిపితివి నేను ఎరుగని జనులు నన్ను సేవించెదరు.

44. 'You also freed me from the quarrels of my people. You kept me to be the head of the nations; a people I did not know now serve me.

45. అన్యులు నాకు లోబడినట్టు వేషము వేయుదురు వారు నన్నుగూర్చి వినిన మాత్రముచేత నాకు విధేయులగుదురు

45. Foreigners come cringing to me; the moment they hear of me, they obey me.

46. అన్యులు దుర్బలులై వణకుచు తమ దుర్గములను విడచి వచ్చెదరు.

46. Foreigners lose heart as they stagger from their fortresses.

47. యెహోవా జీవముగలవాడు నా ఆశ్రయదుర్గమైనవాడు స్తోత్రార్హుడు నాకు రక్షణాశ్రయ దుర్గమైన దేవుడు మహోన్నతుడగును గాక

47. 'ADONAI is alive! Blessed is my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock of my salvation,

48. ఆయన నా నిమిత్తము ప్రతిదండన చేయు దేవుడు ఆయన నా నిమిత్తము పగ తీర్చు దేవుడు జనములను నాకు లోపరచువాడు ఆయనే.

48. the God who gives me vengeance and makes peoples submit to me.

49. ఆయనే నా శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి నన్ను విడిపించును నామీదికి లేచినవారికంటె ఎత్తుగా నీవు నన్ను హెచ్చించుదువు. బలాత్కారము చేయువారి చేతిలోనుండి నీవు నన్ను విడిపించుదువు.

49. He brings me out from my enemies. You raise me over those who rebel against me, you rescue me from violent men.

50. అందువలన యెహోవా, అన్యజనులలో నేను నిన్ను ఘనపరచెదను. నీ నామకీర్తన గానముచేసెదను.

50. 'So I give thanks to you, ADONAI, among the nations; I sing praises to your name.

51. నీవు నియమించిన రాజునకు గొప్ప రక్షణ కలుగ జేయువాడవు అభిషేకించిన దావీదునకును అతని సంతానమున కును నిత్యము కనికరము చూపువాడవు.

51. He is a tower of salvation for his king; he displays grace to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever.'
