1. షేబదేశపు రాణి సొలొమోనును గూర్చిన ప్రసిద్ధిని వినినప్పుడు గూఢమైన ప్రశ్నలచేత సొలొమోనును శోధింపవలెనని కోరి, మిక్కిలి గొప్ప పరివారమును వెంట బెట్టుకొని, గంధవర్గములను విస్తారము బంగారమును రత్న ములను ఒంటెలమీద ఎక్కించుకొని యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చెను. ఆమె సొలొమోనునొద్దకు వచ్చి తన మనస్సులోని విషయములన్నిటిని గురించి అతనితో మాటలాడెను.

1. And the queen of Saba heard of the fame of Salomon and came to prove him with riddles at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and with camels that bare sweet odours and plenty of gold and precious stone. And when she was come to Salomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

2. సొలొమోను ఆమె ప్రశ్నలన్నియు ఆమెకు విడదీసి చెప్పెను; సొలొమోను ఆమెకు ప్రత్యుత్తరము చెప్పలేని మరుగైన మాట యేదియు లేకపోయెను.

2. And Salomon soiled her all her questions, that there was nothing hid from Salomon, which he told her not.

3. షేబదేశపురాణి సొలొమోనునకు కలిగిన జ్ఞానమును, అతడు కట్టించిన నగరును,

3. And when the queen of Saba had seen the wisdom of Salomon and the house that he had built,

4. and the meat of his table and the sitting of his servants and the standing of his waiters, and their apparel, and his butlers with their apparel, and his parlor out of which he went into the house of the LORD, there was no more heart in her.

5. నీ కార్యములనుగూర్చియు జ్ఞానమునుగూర్చియు నేను నా దేశమందు వినిన వర్తమానము నిజవర్తమానమే గాని, నేను వచ్చి దాని కన్నులార చూచువరకు వారి మాటలను నమ్మకయుంటిని.

5. And then she said to the king: the saying which I heard in mine own land, of thine acts and of thy wisdom, is truth.

6. నీ యధిక జ్ఞానమును గూర్చి సగమైనను వారు నాకు తెలుపలేదు. నిన్నుగూర్చి నేను వినినదానికంటె నీ కీర్తి యెంతో హెచ్చుగానున్నది.

6. But I believed not the words of them, until I came and mine eyes had seen it. And see, the one half of thy wisdom was not told me: thou exceedest the same that I heard,

7. నీ సేవకుల భాగ్యము మంచిది, ఎల్లప్పుడును నీ సముఖమున నిలిచి నీ జ్ఞానసంభాషణ వినుచుండు నీ సేవకులైన వీరి భాగ్యము మంచిది.

7. happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants which stand before thee alway and hear thy wisdom.

8. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నీవు రాజువై ఆయన సింహాసనముమీద ఆసీనుడవై యుండునట్లు నీయందు అనుగ్రహము చూపినందుకు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు స్తోత్రములు కలుగునుగాక. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులను నిత్యము స్థిరపరచవలెనన్న దయాలోచన నీ దేవునికి కలిగియున్నందున నీతి న్యాయములను జరిగించుటకై ఆయన నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించెను అని చెప్పెను.

8. Blessed be the LORD thy God which had lust to thee, to make thee king on his seat, unto the LORD thy God. Because thy God loved Israel, to make them continue ever, therefore made he the king over them to do right and equity.

9. ఆమె రాజునకు రెండువందల నలుబది మణుగుల బంగారమును విస్తారమైన గంధవర్గములను రత్న ములను ఇచ్చెను; షేబదేశపు రాణి రాజైన సొలొమోనున కిచ్చిన గంధవర్గములతో సాటియైన దేదియులేదు.

9. And she gave the king an hundredth and twenty talents of gold, and of sweet odours an exceeding great abundance with precious stones, that there was no such sweet odours as the queen of Saba, gave king Salomon.

10. ఇదియుగాక ఓఫీరునుండి బంగారము తెచ్చిన హీరాము పనివారును సొలొమోను పనివారును చందనపు మ్రానులను ప్రశస్తమైన రత్నములనుకూడ కొనివచ్చిరి.

10. And thereto the servants of Hiram and the servants of Salomon which brought gold from Ophir, brought also Algume wood and precious stones.

11. ఆ చంద నపు మ్రానులచేత రాజు యెహోవా మందిరమునకును రాజనగరునకును సౌపానములను, గాయకులకు తంబురలను సితారాలను చేయించెను, అటువంటి పని అంతకుముందు యూదాదేశమందు ఎవ్వరును చూచియుండలేదు.

11. And the king made of the Algume wood stairs for the house of the LORD and in the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers. And there was no such wood seen before in the land of Juda.

12. షేబ దేశపు రాణి రాజునకు తీసికొనివచ్చిన వాటికి అతడిచ్చిన ప్రతి బహుమానములుగాక ఆమె మక్కువ పడి అడిగిన దంతయు రాజైన సొలొమోను ఆమె కిచ్చెను; తరువాత ఆమె తన సేవకులను వెంట బెట్టుకొని మరలి తన దేశమునకు వెళ్లిపోయెను.

12. And king Salomon gave to the queen of Saba all her desire that she asked above that she brought unto the king. And so she turned and went away unto her own land with her servants.

13. గంధవర్గములు అమ్ము వర్తకులును ఇతర వర్తకులును కొని వచ్చు బంగారముగాక సొలొమోనునకు ఏటేట వచ్చు బంగారము వెయ్యిన్ని మూడువందల ముప్పది రెండు మణుగులయెత్తు.

13. The sum of gold that came to Salomon in one year, was six hundredth and sixty six talents of gold,

14. అరబీదేశపు రాజులందరును దేశాధిపతు లును సొలొమోనునొద్దకు బంగారమును వెండియు తీసికొని వచ్చిరి.

14. besides that which chapmen and merchants brought, and all the kings of Arabia and dukes of countries brought gold and silver to Salomon.

15. రాజైన సొలొమోను సాగగొట్టిన బంగారముతో అలుగులుగల రెండువందల డాళ్లను చేయించెను; ఒక్కొక డాలునకు ఆరువందల తులముల బంగారము పట్టెను.

15. And king Salomon made two hundredth bucklers of gold, six hundredth sicles of beaten gold to a buckler:

16. మరియు సాగగొట్టిన బంగారముతో మూడువందల కేడెములను చేయించెను; ఒక్కొక కేడెమునకుమూడువందల తులముల బంగారము పట్టెను; వాటిని రాజు లెబానోను అరణ్యపు నగరునందుంచెను.

16. and three hundredth shields of Beaten gold, three hundredth sicles of gold to a shield, and he put them in the house of the forest of Libanon.

17. మరియు రాజు దంత ముతో ఒక గొప్ప సింహాసనము చేయించి ప్రశస్త మైన బంగారముతో దాని పొదిగించెను.

17. And the king made a great seat of Ivory and overlaid it with pure gold.

18. ఆ సింహాసనమునకు దానితో కలిసియున్న ఆరు బంగారపు సోపానము లును సింహాసనమునకు కట్టి యున్న బంగారపు పాదపీఠమును ఉండెను, కూర్చుండుచోటికి ఇరుప్రక్కల ఊతలుండెను, ఊతలదగ్గర రెండు సింహము లుండెను;

18. And there were six steps to the seat with a footstool of gold fastened to the seat: and pommels on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the pommels.

19. ఆ యారు సోపానములమీద ఇరుప్రక్కల పండ్రెండు సింహములు నిలిచియుండెను, ఏ రాజ్యమందైనను అటువంటి పని చేయబడలేదు.

19. And twelve lions stood one side and on the other, upon six steps, and there was no such in any kingdom.

20. మరియు రాజైన సొలొమోనునకున్న పానపాత్రలన్నియును బంగారపువై యుండెను; లెబానోను అరణ్యపు నగరుననున్న ఉపకరణములన్నియు బంగారముతో చేసినవి; హీరాముయొక్క పనివారితో కూడ రాజు ఓడలు తర్షీషుకు పోయి మూడు సంవత్సరములకు ఒకమారు బంగారము, వెండి, యేనుగుదంతము, కోతులు, నెమళ్లు అను సరకులతో వచ్చుచుండెను గనుక

20. And all the drinking vessels of king Salomon were gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Libanon, were pure gold. And as for silver, it was counted nothing worth in the days of Salomon.

21. సొలొమోను దినములలో వెండియెన్నికకు రానిదాయెను

21. For the king's ships went to Tharsis with the servants of Hiram every three years once. And the ships of Tharsis brought gold, silver, the teeth of elephants, apes and peacocks.

22. రాజైన సొలొమోను భూరాజులందరికంటెను ఐశ్వర్య మందును జ్ఞానమందును అధికుడాయెను.

22. And king Salomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

23. దేవుడు సొలొ మోనుయొక్క హృదయ మందుంచిన జ్ఞానోక్తులను వినుటకై భూరాజులందరును అతని ముఖదర్శనము చేయగోరిరి.

23. And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Salomon, to hear the wisdom that God had put in his heart.

24. మరియు ప్రతివాడును ఏటేట వెండివస్తువులను బంగారు వస్తువులను వస్త్రములను ఆయుధములను గంధవర్గములను గుఱ్ఱములను కంచరగాడిదలను కానుకలుగా తీసికొనివచ్చెను.

24. And they brought every man his present in vessels of silver and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, sweet odours, horses and mules year by year.

25. రథములు నిలువయుంచు పట్టణములలోను రాజునొద్ద యెరూషలేములోను సొలొమోనునకు నాలుగువేల గుఱ్ఱపు సాలలును రథములును పండ్రెండువేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులును కలిగి యుండెను.

25. And Salomon had four thousand mangers of horses and chariots for them, and twelve thousand horsemen. And he bestowed them in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.

26. యూఫ్రటీసునది మొదలుకొని ఫిలిష్తీ యుల దేశమువరకును ఐగుప్తు సరిహద్దువరకును ఉండు రాజు లందరి పైని అతడు ఏలుబడి చేసెను.

26. And he reigned over all the kings from Euphrates unto the land of the Philistines and to the borders of Egypt.

27. రాజు యెరూషలేము నందు వెండి రాళ్లంత విస్తారముగా నుండునట్లును, దేవదారు మ్రానులు షెఫేలా ప్రదేశ ముననున్న మేడివృక్షములంత విస్తారముగా నుండునట్లును చేసెను.

27. And the king made silver in Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and Cedar trees as plenteous as the mulberry trees that grow in the valleys.

28. ఐగుప్తునుండియు సకల దేశములనుండియు సొలొమోనునకు గుఱ్ఱములు తేబడెను.

28. And Salomon had horses brought him out of Egypt and out of all lands.

29. సొలొమోను చేసిన కార్యములన్నిటినిగూర్చి ప్రవక్తయైన నాతాను రచించిన గ్రంథమందును, షిలోనీయుడైన అహీయా రచించిన ప్రవచన గ్రంథమందును, నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబామునుగూర్చి దీర్ఘదర్శి యైన ఇద్దోకు గ్రంథమందును వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

29. And the rest of the acts of king Salomon both first and last are written in the book of Nathan the Prophet and in the prophecy of Ahiah the Silonite and in the visions of Jadi the sear of visions against Jeroboam the son of Nabat.

30. సొలొమోను యెరూషలేమునందు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిమీద నలుబది సంవత్సరములు ఏలుబడి చేసెను.

30. And when Salomon had reigned in Jerusalem upon all Israel forty year,

31. తరువాత సొలొ మోను తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించి తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు పట్టణమందు పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతనికి బదులుగా అతని కుమారుడైన రెహబాము రాజాయెను.

31. he laid him to rest with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father, and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
