1. రాజైన అర్తహషస్త ఏలుబడి కాలమందు బబులోను దేశమునుండి నాతోకూడ వచ్చిన యింటి పెద్దల వంశావళి.

1. Now, these, are their ancestral heads, and their genealogical register, even of those who came up with me, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king, out of Babylon:

2. ఫీనెహాసు వంశములో గెర్షోమును, ఈతామారు వంశములో దానియేలును, దావీదు వంశములో హట్టూషును,

2. Of the sons of Phinehas, Gershom, of the sons of Ithamar, Daniel, of the sons of David, Hattush;

3. షెకన్యా పరోషుల వంశములలో జెకర్యాయు వంశావళికి నూట ఏబదిమంది పురుషులును లెక్కింపబడిరి.

3. Of the sons of Shecaniah, of the sons of Parosh, Zechariah, and, with him by genealogical registry of males, a hundred and fifty:

4. పహత్మోయాబు వంశములో జెరహ్య కుమారుడైన ఎల్యో యేనైయు రెండు వందలమంది పురుషులును

4. Of the sons of Pahath-moab, Eliehoenai, son of Zerahiah, and, with him, two hundred males;

5. షెకన్యా వంశములో యహజీయేలు కుమారుడును మూడువందల మంది పురుషులును

5. Of the sons of Zattu, Shecaniah, the son of Jehaziel, and, with him, three hundred males;

6. ఆదీను వంశములో యోనాతాను కుమారుడైన ఎబెదును ఏబదిమంది పురుషులును

6. And, of the sons of Adin, Ebed, son of Jonathan, and, with him, fifty males;

7. ఏలాము వంశములో అతల్యా కుమారుడైన యెషయాయు డెబ్బది మంది పురుషులును

7. And, of the sons of Elam, Jeshaiah, son of Athaliah, and, with him, seventy males;

8. షెఫట్య వంశములో మిఖాయేలు కుమారుడైన జెబద్యాయు ఎనుబదిమంది పురుషులును

8. And, of the sons of Shephatiah, Zebadiah, son of Michael, and, with him, eighty males;

9. యోవాబు వంశములో యెహీయేలు కుమారుడైన ఓబ ద్యాయు రెండువందల పదునెనిమిదిమంది పురుషులును

9. Of the sons of Joab, Obadiah, son of Jehiel, and, with him, two hundred and eighteen males;

10. షెలోమీతు వంశములో యోసిప్యా కుమారుడును నూట అరువదిమంది పురుషులును

10. And, of the sons of Bani, Shelomith, son of Josiphiah, and, with him, a hundred and sixty males;

11. బేబై వంశములో బేబై కుమారుడైన జెకర్యాయు ఇరువది ఎనిమిదిమంది పురుషు లును

11. And, of the sons of Bebai, Zechariah, son of Bebai, and, with him, twenty-eight males;

12. అజ్గాదు వంశములో హక్కాటాను కుమారుడైన యోహానానును నూట పదిమంది పురుషులును

12. And, of the sons of Azgad, Johanan, son of Hakkatan, and, with him, a hundred and ten males;

13. అదోనీ కాముయొక్క చిన్న కుమారులలో ఎలీపేలెటును యెహీ యేలును షెమయాయు అరువదిమంది పురుషులును

13. And, of the later sons of Adonikam, these being their names, Eliphelet, Jeuel, and Shemaiah, and, with them, sixty males;

14. బిగ్వయి వంశములో ఊతైయును జబ్బూదును డెబ్బది మంది పురుషులును.

14. And, of the sons of Bigvai, Uthai and Zabbud, and, with him, seventy males.

15. వీరిని నేను అహవా వైపునకు పారు నదియొద్దకు సమకూర్చితిని. అచ్చట మేము మూడు దిన ములు గుడార ములలో ఉంటిమి. అంతలో నేను జనులను యాజకులను తనికీ చూడగా లేవీయుడొకడును నాకు కనబడలేదు.

15. And I gathered them together, unto the river that cometh into Ahava, and we encamped there three days, and I informed myself among the people and the priests, and, of the sons of Levi, found I none there.

16. అప్పుడు నేను పెద్దలైన ఎలీయెజెరు అరీయేలు షెమయా ఎల్నాతాను యారీబు ఎల్నాతాను నాతాను జెకర్యా మెషుల్లాము అను వారిని, ఉపదేశకులగు యోయారీబు ఎల్నాతానులను పిలువనంపించి

16. So I sent for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men, also for Joiarib and for Elnathan, teachers.

17. కాసిప్యా అను స్థల మందుండు అధికారియైన ఇద్దోయొద్దకు వారిని పంపి, మా దేవుని మందిరమునకు పరిచారకులను మాయొద్దకు తీసికొని వచ్చునట్లుగా కాసిప్యా అను స్థలమందుండు ఇద్దోతోను అతని బంధువులైన నెతీనీయులతోను చెప్పవలసిన మాటలను వారికి తెలియజెప్పితిని.

17. And I sent them forth unto Iddo the chief, at the place Casiphia, and I put into their mouth words, to speak unto Iddo and his brethren the Nethinim, at the place Casiphia, to bring unto us attendants for the house of our God.

18. మా దేవుని కరుణా హస్తము మాకు తోడుగా ఉన్నందున వారు ప్రజ్ఞావంతుడైన ఒకనిని షేరేబ్యాను అతని కుమారులను సహోదరులను, పదు నెనిమిదిమందిని తోడుకొని వచ్చిరి. ఆ ప్రజ్ఞావంతుడు మహలి కుమారులలో ఒకడు; ఈ మహలి ఇశ్రాయేలునకు పుట్టిన లేవి వంశస్థుడు.

18. So they brought unto us, according to the good hand of our God upon us, a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli, son of Levi, son of Israel, and Sherebiah, and his sons and his brethren, eighteen;

19. హషబ్యాను అతనితోకూడ మెరారీయుడగు యెషయాను అతని బంధువులును వారి కుమారులునైన యిరువదిమందిని వారు తోడుకొని వచ్చిరి.

19. and Hashabiah, and, with him, Jeshaiah, of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;

20. మరియు లేవీయులు చేయవలసిన సేవలో తోడ్పడుటకై దావీదును అధిపతులును నిర్ణయించిన నెతీనీయులలో రెండువందల ఇరువదిమంది వచ్చిరి. వీరందరును పేర్లు ఉదాహరింపబడి నియమింపబడినవారు.

20. and, of the Nethinim whom David and the rulers had given for the service of the Levites, Nethinim, two hundred and twenty, all of them, expressed by name.

21. అప్పుడు దేవుని సన్నిధిని మమ్మును మేము దుఃఖపరచుకొని, మాకును మా చిన్న వారికిని మా ఆస్తికిని శుభ ప్రయాణము కలుగునట్లుగా ఆయనను వేడుకొనుటకు అహవా నదిదగ్గర ఉప వాసముండుడని ప్రకటించితిని.

21. Then proclaimed I there a fast, by the river Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek of him a smooth way, for us and for our little ones, and for all our substance.

22. మేలు కలుగజేయుటకై ఆయనను ఆశ్రయించు వారికందరికిని మా దేవుని హస్తము తోడుగా ఉండునుగాని, ఆయన హస్తమును ఆయన ఉగ్రతయు ఆయనను విసర్జించు వారందరిమీదికి వచ్చునని మేము రాజుతో చెప్పియుంటిమి గనుక మార్గ మందున్న శత్రువుల విషయమై మాకు సహాయము చేయునట్లు కాల్బలమును రౌతులును రాజునొద్ద కావలెనని మనవి చేయుటకు సిగ్గు నాకు తోచెను.

22. For I was ashamed to ask of the king, a band of soldiers and horsemen, to help us against the enemy in the way, because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God, is upon all who seek him, for good, But, his power and his anger, are against all who forsake him.

23. మేముఉపవాసముండి ఆ సంగతినిబట్టి మా దేవుని వేడుకొనగా ఆయన మా మనవిని అంగీకరించెను

23. So we fasted and sought of our God, concerning this, and he suffered himself to be entreated by us.

24. గనుక నేను యాజ కులలోనుండి ప్రధానులైన పండ్రెండు మందిని, అనగా షేరేబ్యాను హషబ్యాను వీరి బంధువులలో పదిమందిని ఏర్పరచి

24. Then I separated, from among the rulers of the priests, twelve, even Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and, with them, from among their brethren, ten;

25. మా దేవుని మందిరమును ప్రతిష్ఠించుట విషయ ములో రాజును అతని మంత్రులును అధిపతులును అక్కడ నున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరును ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వెండిబంగార ములను ఉపకరణములను తూచి వారికి అప్పగించితిని.

25. and weighed unto them, the silver and the gold, and the utensils, the heave-offering for the house of our God, which the king and his counselors and his rulers and all Israel who were present, had offered:

26. వెయ్యిన్ని మూడువందల మణుగుల వెండిని రెండువందల మణుగుల వెండి ఉపకరణములను, రెండువందల మణుగుల బంగారమును,

26. I even weighed unto their hand, of silver, six hundred and fifty talents, and, of utensils of silver, a hundred talents, of gold, a hundred talents;

27. ఏడువేల తులములుగల యిరువది బంగా రపు గిన్నెలను, బంగారమంత వెలగల పరిశుద్ధమైన రెండు రాగి పాత్రలను తూచి

27. and, bowls of gold, twenty, of a thousand drams, and, utensils of fine bright bronze, two, precious as gold.

28. వారిచేతికి అప్పగించిమీరు యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠింపబడినవారు, పాత్రలును ప్రతి ష్ఠితములైనవి. ఈ వెండి బంగారములును మీ పితరుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు స్వేచ్ఛార్పణలై యున్నవి.

28. Then said I unto them, Ye, are hallowed unto Yahweh, and, the utensils, are hallowed, and, the silver and the gold, are a freewill offering, unto Yahweh, God of your fathers:

29. కాబట్టి మీరు యెరూషలేములో యెహోవా మందిరపు ఖజానా గదులలో, యాజకులయొక్కయు లేవీయుల యొక్కయు ఇశ్రాయేలు పెద్దలయొక్కయు ప్రధానులైన వారి యెదుట, వాటిని తూచి అప్పగించు వరకు వాటిని భద్రముగా ఉంచుడని వారితో చెప్పితిని.

29. Watch and guard, until ye weigh them before the rulers of the priests and the Levites and the ancestral rulers of Israel, in Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of Yahweh.

30. కాబట్టి యాజకులును లేవీయులును వాటి యెత్తు ఎంతో తెలిసికొని, యెరూషలేములోనున్న మన దేవుని మందిరమునకు కొనిపోవుటకై ఆ వెండి బంగారములను పాత్రలను తీసికొనిరి.

30. So the priests and the Levites accepted the weight of the silver and the gold, and the utensils, to bring to Jerusalem, unto the house of our God.

31. మేము మొదటి నెల పండ్రెండవ దినమందు యెరూష లేమునకు వచ్చుటకై అహవా నదినుండి బయలుదేరగా, మా దేవుని హస్తము మాకు తోడుగా నుండి, శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండియు మార్గమందు పొంచియున్నవారి చేతిలో నుండియు మమ్మును తప్పించినందున

31. Then brake we up from the river of Ahava, on the twelfth of the first month, to journey unto Jerusalem, and, the hand of our God, was upon us, and he delivered us from the grasp of the enemy and of the lier in wait, by the way.

32. మేము యెరూష లేమునకు వచ్చి మూడుదినములు అక్కడ బసచేసితివిు.

32. So we came to Jerusalem, and we rested there, three days.

33. నాలుగవ దినమున వెండి బంగారములును పాత్రలును మా దేవుని మందిరమందు యాజకుడైన ఊరియా కుమారుడైన మెరేమోతుచేత తూనిక వేయబడెను. అతనితో కూడ ఫీనెహాసు కుమారుడైన ఎలియాజరు ఉండెను; వీరితో లేవీయులైన యేషూవ కుమారుడైన యోజాబాదును బిన్నూయి కుమారుడైన నోవద్యాయును కూడనుండిరి.

33. And, on the fourth day, was weighed the silver and the gold and the utensils, in the house of our God, unto the hand of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest, and, with him, was Eleazar son of Phinehas, and, with them, were Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui, Levites:

34. సంఖ్యచొప్పునను ఎత్తుచొప్పునను అన్నిటిని సరిచూచిన తరువాత వాటి యెత్తు ఎంతైనది లెక్కలలో వ్రాసిరి.

34. by the number and by the weight of the whole, and all the weight, was written down, at that time.

35. మరియు చెరలోనికి కొనిపోబడిన వారికి పుట్టి చెరనుండి విడుదలనొంది తిరిగి వచ్చినవారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవునికి దహన బలులు అర్పించిరి. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరికొరకు పండ్రెండు ఎడ్లను తొంబది యారు పొట్టేళ్లను డెబ్బది యేడు గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను, పాపపరిహారార్థబలిగా పండ్రెండు మేకపోతులను తెచ్చి అన్నిటిని దహనబలిగా యెహోవాకు అర్పించిరి.

35. They who came in out of the captivity, Sons of the Exile, offered as ascending-sacrifices unto the God of Israel bullocks twelve for all Israel, rams ninety-six, young sheep seventy-seven, he-goats for bearing sin, twelve, the whole, as an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh.

36. వారు రాజుయొక్క నిర్ణయములను రాజుయొక్క సేనాధిపతులకును నది యివతలనున్న అధికారులకును అప్పగించిన తరువాత వీరు జనులకును దేవుని మందిరపు పనికిని సహాయము చేసిరి.

36. Then delivered they the decrees of the king, unto the satraps of the king, and the pashas Beyond the River, and they upheld the people and the house of God.
