1. ఇది నోవహు కుమారుడగు షేము హాము యాపెతను వారి వంశావళి. జలప్రళయము తరువాత వారికి కుమారులు పుట్టిరి.

1. Now these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and sons were born to them after the flood.

2. యాపెతు కుమారులు గోమెరు మాగోగు మాదయి యావాను తుబాలు మెషెకు తీరసు అనువారు.

2. The sons of Japheth [were] Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Elisa, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

3. గోమెరు కుమారులు అష్కనజు రీఫతు తోగర్మా అనువారు.

3. And the sons of Gomer [were] Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

4. యావాను కుమారులు ఏలీషా తర్షీషు కిత్తీము దాదోనీము అనువారు.

4. And the sons of Jovan [were] Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

5. వీరి నుండి సముద్ర తీరమందుండిన జనములు వ్యాపించెను. వారివారి జాతుల ప్రకారము, వారివారి భాషలప్రకారము, వారివారి వంశముల ప్రకారము, ఆయా దేశములలో వారు వేరైపోయిరి.

5. From these were the islands of the Gentiles divided in their land, each according to his tongue, in their tribes and in their nations.

6. హాము కుమారులు కూషు మిస్రాయిము పూతు కనాను అనువారు.

6. And the sons of Ham [were] Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

7. కూషు కుమారులు సెబా హవీలా సబ్తా రాయమా సబ్తకా అనువారు. రాయమా కుమారులు షేబ దదాను అనువారు.

7. And the sons of Cush [were] Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabtechah. And the sons of Raamah [were] Sheba and Dedan.

8. కూషు నిమ్రోదును కనెను. అతడు భూమిమీద పరాక్రమశాలియై యుండుటకు ఆరంభించెను.

8. And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be a giant upon the earth.

9. అతడు యెహోవా యెదుట పరాక్రమముగల వేటగాడు. కాబట్టి యెహోవా యెదుట పరాక్రమముగల వేటగాడైన నిమ్రోదువలె అను లోకోక్తి కలదు.

9. He was a giant hunter before the Lord God; therefore they say, As Nimrod the giant hunter before the Lord.

10. షీనారు దేశములోని బాబెలు ఎరెకు అక్కదు కల్నే అను పట్టణములు అతని రాజ్యమునకు మొదలు.

10. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

11. ఆ దేశములోనుండి అష్షూరుకు బయలుదేరి వెళ్లి నీనెవెను రహోబోతీరును కాలహును

11. Out of that land he came to Assyria, and built Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth Ir, and Calah,

12. నీనెవెకును కాలహుకును మధ్యనున్న రెసెనును కట్టించెను; ఇదే ఆ మహా పట్టణము.

12. and Resen between Nineveh and Calah: this is the great city.

13. మిస్రాయిము లూదీయులను అనామీయులను లెహాబీయులను నప్తుహీయులను

13. And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Naphtuhim, and the Enemetim, and the Lehabim,

14. పత్రుసీయులను కస్లూహీయులను కఫ్తోరీయులను కనెను. ఫిలిష్తీయులు కస్లూహీయులలోనుండి వచ్చినవారు.

14. and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from whom came forth the Philistine) and the Caphtorim.

15. కనాను తన ప్రథమ కుమారుడగు సీదోనును హేతును యెబూసీయులను అమోరీయులను గిర్గాషీయులను

15. And Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and the Hittite,

16. హివ్వీయులను అర్కీయులను సినీయులను

16. and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

17. అర్వాదీయులను సెమారీయులను హమాతీయులను కనెను.

17. and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Senite,

18. తరువాత కనానీయుల వంశములు వ్యాపించెను.

18. and the Aradian, and the Samarean, and the Amathite; and after this the tribes of the Canaanites were dispersed.

19. కనానీయుల సరిహద్దు సీదోనునుండి గెరారుకు వెళ్లు మార్గములో గాజావరకును, సొదొమ గొమొఱ్ఱా అద్మా సెబోయిములకు వెళ్లు మార్గములో లాషా వరకును ఉన్నది.

19. And the boundaries of the Canaanites were from Sidon till one comes to Gerar and Gaza, till one comes to Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

20. వీరు తమతమ వంశముల ప్రకారము తమతమ భాషల ప్రకారము తమతమ దేశములనుబట్టియు జాతులను బట్టియు హాము కుమారులు.

20. These [were] the sons of Ham in their tribes according to their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.

21. మరియు ఏబెరుయొక్క కుమారులందరికి పితరుడును, పెద్దవాడయిన యాపెతు సహోదరుడునగు షేముకు కూడ సంతానము పుట్టెను.

21. And to Shem himself also were children born, the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder.

22. షేము కుమారులు ఏలాము అష్షూరు అర్పక్షదు లూదు అరామను వారు.

22. The sons of Shem [were] Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, Aram, and Cainan.

23. అరాము కుమారులు ఊజుహూలు గెతెరు మాషనువారు.

23. The sons of Aram [were] Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mesech.

24. అర్పక్షదు షేలహును కనెను. షేలహు ఏబెరును కనెను.

24. And Arphaxad begot Cainan, and Cainan begot Salah, and Salah begot Eber.

25. ఏబెరుకు ఇద్దరు కుమారులు పుట్టిరి. వారిలో ఒకని పేరు పెలెగు, ఏలయనగా అతని దినములలో భూమి దేశములుగా విభాగింపబడెను. అతని సహోదరుని పేరు యొక్తాను.

25. And to Eber were born two sons, the name of the one [was] Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and the name of his brother [was] Joktan.

26. యొక్తాను అల్మోదాదును షెలపును హసర్మావెతును యెరహును

26. And Joktan begot Almodad, Sheleph, Sarmoth, Jerah,

27. హదోరమును ఊజాలును దిక్లాను

27. Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

28. ఓబాలును అబీమాయెలును షేబను

28. Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,

29. ఓఫీరును హవీలాను యోబాబును కనెను. వీరందరు యొక్తాను కుమారులు.

29. Ophir, Havila, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

30. మేషానుండి సపారాకు వెళ్లు మార్గములోని తూర్పు కొండలు వారి నివాసస్థలము.

30. And their dwelling was from Mesha, till one comes to Sephar, a mountain of the east.

31. వీరు తమతమ వంశముల ప్రకారము తమతమ భాషలప్రకారము తమతమ దేశములనుబట్టియు తమతమ జాతులనుబట్టియు షేము కుమారులు.

31. These were the sons of Shem in their tribes, according to their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.

32. వారివారి జనములలో వారివారి సంతతుల ప్రకారము, నోవహు కుమారుల వంశములు ఇవే. జలప్రవాహము గతించిన తరువాత వీరిలోనుండి జనములు భూమిమీద వ్యాపించెను.

32. These are the tribes of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, according to their nations: of them were the islands of the Gentiles scattered over the earth after the flood.
