1. ఒకడు ఎద్దునైనను గొఱ్ఱెనైనను దొంగిలించి దాని అమ్మినను చంపినను ఆ యెద్దుకు ప్రతిగా అయిదు ఎద్దులను ఆ గొఱ్ఱెకు ప్రతిగా నాలుగు గొఱ్ఱెలను ఇయ్యవలెను.
లూకా 19:8

1. When someone steals an ox or a sheep, and slaughters it or sells it, the thief shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep. The thief shall make restitution, but if unable to do so, shall be sold for the theft.

2. దొంగ కన్నము వేయుచుండగా వాడు దొరికి చచ్చునట్లు కొట్టబడినయెడల అందువలన రక్తాపరాధ ముండదు.

2. If a thief is found breaking in, and is beaten to death, no bloodguilt is incurred;

3. సూర్యుడు ఉదయించిన తరువాత వాని కొట్టినయెడల వానికి రక్తాపరాధముండును; వాడు సరిగా సొమ్ము మరల చెల్లింపవలెను. వానికేమియు లేకపోయిన యెడల వాడు దొంగతనము చేసినందున అమ్మబడవలెను.

3. but if it happens after sunrise, bloodguilt is incurred.

4. వాడు దొంగిలినది ఎద్దయినను గాడిదయైనను గొఱ్ఱెయైనను సరే అది ప్రాణముతో వానియొద్ద దొరికినయెడల రెండం తలు చెల్లింపవలెను.

4. When the animal, whether ox or donkey or sheep, is found alive in the thief's possession, the thief shall pay double.

5. ఒకడు చేనునైనను ద్రాక్షతోటనైనను మేపుటకు తన పశువును విడిపించగా ఆ పశువు వేరొకని చేను మేసినయెడల అతడు తన చేలలోని మంచిదియు ద్రాక్ష తోటలోని మంచిదియు దానికి ప్రతిగా నియ్యవలెను.

5. When someone causes a field or vineyard to be grazed over, or lets livestock loose to graze in someone else's field, restitution shall be made from the best in the owner's field or vineyard.

6. అగ్ని రగిలి ముండ్ల కంపలు అంటుకొనుటవలన పంట కుప్పయైనను పంటపైరైనను చేనైనను కాలి పోయినయెడల అగ్ని నంటించినవాడు ఆ నష్టమును అచ్చుకొనవలెను.

6. When fire breaks out and catches in thorns so that the stacked grain or the standing grain or the field is consumed, the one who started the fire shall make full restitution.

7. ఒకడు సొమ్మయినను సామానై నను జాగ్రత్తపెట్టుటకు తన పొరుగువానికి అప్పగించినప్పుడు అది ఆ మనుష్యుని యింట నుండి దొంగిలింపబడి ఆ దొంగ దొరికినయెడల వాడు దానికి రెండంతలు అచ్చుకొనవలెను;

7. When someone delivers to a neighbor money or goods for safekeeping, and they are stolen from the neighbor's house, then the thief, if caught, shall pay double.

8. ఆ దొంగ దొరకని యెడల ఆ యింటి యజమానుడు తన పొరుగువాని పదార్థములను తీసికొనెనో లేదో పరిష్కారమగుటకై దేవునియొద్దకు రావలెను.

8. If the thief is not caught, the owner of the house shall be brought before God, to determine whether or not the owner had laid hands on the neighbor's goods.

9. ప్రతి విధమైన ద్రోహమును గూర్చి, అనగా ఎద్దునుగూర్చి గాడిదనుగూర్చి గొఱ్ఱెను గూర్చి బట్టనుగూర్చి పోయినదాని నొకడు చూచి యిది నాదని చెప్పిన దానిగూర్చి ఆ యిద్దరి వ్యాజ్యెము దేవుని యొద్దకు తేబడవలెను. దేవుడు ఎవనిమీద నేరము స్థాపించునో వాడు తన పొరుగువానికి రెండంతలు అచ్చుకొన వలెను.

9. In any case of disputed ownership involving ox, donkey, sheep, clothing, or any other loss, of which one party says, This is mine, the case of both parties shall come before God; the one whom God condemns shall pay double to the other.

10. ఒకడు గాడిదనైనను ఎద్దునైనను గొఱ్ఱెనైనను మరి ఏ జంతువునైనను కాపాడుటకు తన పొరుగువానికి అప్పగించినమీదట, అది చచ్చినను హాని పొందినను, ఎవడును చూడకుండగా తోలుకొని పోబడినను,

10. When someone delivers to another a donkey, ox, sheep, or any other animal for safekeeping, and it dies or is injured or is carried off, without anyone seeing it,

11. వాడు తన పొరుగువాని సొమ్మును తీసికొనలేదనుటకు యెహోవా ప్రమాణము వారిద్దరిమధ్య నుండవలెను. సొత్తుదారుడు ఆ ప్రమాణమును అంగీకరింపవలెను; ఆ నష్టమును అచ్చుకొననక్కరలేదు.

11. an oath before the LORD shall decide between the two of them that the one has not laid hands on the property of the other; the owner shall accept the oath, and no restitution shall be made.

12. అది నిజముగా వానియొద్దనుండి దొంగిలబడినయెడల సొత్తుదారునికి ఆ నష్టమును అచ్చుకొనవలెను.

12. But if it was stolen, restitution shall be made to its owner.

13. అది నిజముగా చీల్చబడినయెడల వాడు సాక్ష్యముకొరకు దాని తేవలెను; చీల్చబడినదాని నష్టమును అచ్చుకొన నక్కరలేదు.

13. If it was mangled by beasts, let it be brought as evidence; restitution shall not be made for the mangled remains.

14. ఒకడు తన పొరుగువానియొద్ద దేనినైనను బదులు దీసికొనిపోగా దాని యజమానుడు దానియొద్ద లేనప్పుడు, అది హానిపొందినను చచ్చినను దాని నష్టమును అచ్చుకొనవలెను.

14. When someone borrows an animal from another and it is injured or dies, the owner not being present, full restitution shall be made.

15. దాని యజమానుడు దానితో నుండిన యెడల దాని నష్టమును అచ్చుకొననక్కరలేదు. అది అద్దెదైన యెడల అది దాని అద్దెకు వచ్చెను.

15. If the owner was present, there shall be no restitution; if it was hired, only the hiring fee is due.

16. ఒకడు ప్రధానము చేయబడని ఒక కన్యకను మరులుకొల్పి ఆమెతో శయనించినయెడల ఆమె నిమిత్తము ఓలి ఇచ్చి ఆమెను పెండ్లి చేసికొనవలెను.

16. When a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to be married, and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife.

17. ఆమె తండ్రి ఆమెను వానికి ఇయ్యనొల్లని యెడల వాడు కన్యకల ఓలిచొప్పున సొమ్ము చెల్లింపవలెను.

17. But if her father refuses to give her to him, he shall pay an amount equal to the bride-price for virgins.

18. శకునము చెప్పుదానిని బ్రదుకనియ్యకూడదు.

18. You shall not permit a female sorcerer to live.

19. మృగసంయోగము చేయు ప్రతివాడు నిశ్చయముగా మరణశిక్ష నొందవలెను.

19. Whoever lies with an animal shall be put to death.

20. యోహోవాకు మాత్రమే గాక వేరొక దేవునికి బలి అర్పించువాడు శాపగ్రస్తుడు.

20. Whoever sacrifices to any god, other than the LORD alone, shall be devoted to destruction.

21. పరదేశిని విసికింపవద్దు, బాధింపవద్దు; మీరు ఐగుప్తు దేశములో పరదేశులై యుంటిరి గదా.

21. You shall not wrong or oppress a resident alien, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.

22. విధవరాలినైనను దిక్కులేని పిల్లనైనను బాధపెట్టకూడదు.

22. You shall not abuse any widow or orphan.

23. వారు నీచేత ఏ విధముగానైనను బాధనొంది నాకు మొఱ పెట్టినయెడల నేను నిశ్చయముగా వారి మొఱను విందును.

23. If you do abuse them, when they cry out to me, I will surely heed their cry;

24. నా కోపాగ్ని రవులుకొని మిమ్మును కత్తిచేత చంపించెదను, మీ భార్యలు విధవ రాండ్రగుదురు, మీ పిల్లలు దిక్కులేనివారగుదురు.

24. my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children orphans.

25. నా ప్రజలలో నీయొద్దనుండు ఒక బీదవానికి సొమ్ము అప్పిచ్చినయెడల వడ్డికిచ్చువానివలె వాని యెడల జరిగింపకూడదు, వానికి వడ్డికట్టకూడదు.

25. If you lend money to my people, to the poor among you, you shall not deal with them as a creditor; you shall not exact interest from them.

26. నీవు ఎప్పుడైనను నీ పొరుగువాని వస్త్రమును కుదవగా తీసికొనినయెడల సూర్యుడు అస్తమించువేళకు అది వానికి మరల అప్పగించుము.

26. If you take your neighbor's cloak in pawn, you shall restore it before the sun goes down;

27. వాడు కప్పుకొనునది అదే. అది వాని దేహమునకు వస్త్రము; వాడు మరి ఏమి కప్పుకొని పండుకొనును? నేను దయగలవాడను, వాడు నాకు మొఱపెట్టిన యెడల నేను విందును.

27. for it may be your neighbor's only clothing to use as cover; in what else shall that person sleep? And if your neighbor cries out to me, I will listen, for I am compassionate.

28. నీవు దేవుని నిందింపగూడదు, నీ ప్రజలలోని అధికారిని శపింపకూడదు.
అపో. కార్యములు 23:5

28. You shall not revile God, or curse a leader of your people.

29. నీ మొదటి సస్యద్రవ్యములను అర్పింప తడవు చేయ కూడదు. నీ కుమారులలో జ్యేష్ఠుని నాకు అర్పింపవలెను.

29. You shall not delay to make offerings from the fullness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to me.

30. అట్లే నీ యెద్దులను నీ గొఱ్ఱెలను అర్పింపవలెను. ఏడు దినములు అది దాని తల్లియొద్ద ఉండవలెను. ఎనిమిదవ దినమున దానిని నాకియ్యవలెను.

30. You shall do the same with your oxen and with your sheep: seven days it shall remain with its mother; on the eighth day you shall give it to me.

31. మీరు నాకు ప్రతిష్ఠింపబడినవారు గనుక పొలములో చీల్చబడిన మాంసమును తినక కుక్కలకు దాని పారవేయ వలెను.

31. You shall be people consecrated to me; therefore you shall not eat any meat that is mangled by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.
