1. అహజ్యా తల్లియైన అతల్యా తన కుమారుడు మృతి బొందెనని తెలిసికొని లేచి రాజకుమారులనందరిని నాశనము చేసెను.

1. And Athalia ye mother of Ahaziahu, when she saw that her sonne was dead, she arose, and destroyed all the kinges seede.

2. రాజైన యెహోరాము కుమార్తెయును అహ జ్యాకు సహోదరియునైన యెహోషెబ అహజ్యా కుమారు డైన యోవాషును, హతమైన రాజకుమారులతోకూడ చంపబడకుండ అతని రహస్యముగా తప్పించెను గనుక వారు అతనిని అతని దాదిని పడకగదిలో అతల్యాకు మరుగుగా ఉంచియుండుటచేత అతడు చంపబడ కుండెను.

2. But Iehosaba the daughter of king Ioram and syster of Ahaziahu, toke Ioas the sonne of Ahaziahu, and stale him from among the kinges sonnes that were slayne, and his nurse with him in the bedde chamber: and hyd him from Athalia, that he was not slayne.

3. అతల్యా దేశమును ఏలుచుండగా ఇతడు ఆరు సంవత్సరములు యెహోవా మందిరమందు దాదితో కూడ దాచబడి యుండెను.

3. And he was with her hyd in the house of the Lord sixe yeres: And Athalia dyd raigne ouer the lande.

4. ఏడవ సంవత్సరమందు యెహోయాదా కావలికాయు వారిమీదను రాజదేహ సంరక్షకులమీదను ఏర్పడియున్న శతాధిపతులను పిలువనంపించి, యెహోవా మందిరము లోనికి వారిని తీసికొని పోయి, యెహోవా మందిరమందు వారిచేత ప్రమాణము చేయించి వారితో నిబంధనచేసి, వారికి ఆ రాజు కుమారుని కనుపరచి యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను

4. And the seuenth yere Iehoiada sent and set the rulers ouer hundredes, with the captaynes and them of the garde, and toke them to him into the house of the Lorde, & made a bonde with them, and toke an oth of them in the house of the Lorde, and shewed them the kinges sonne.

5. మీరు చేయవలసినదేమనగా, విశ్రాంతి దిన మున లోపల ప్రవేశించు మీరు మూడు భాగములై యొక భాగము రాజమందిరమునకు కావలి కాయువారై యుండవలెను;

5. And he commaunded them, saying, This is it that ye must do: One third part of you, whose duetie is to come in on the Sabbath day, shall keepe the watch of the kinges house:

6. ఒక భాగము సూరు గుమ్మముదగ్గర కాపు చేయవలెను, ఒక భాగము కాపు కాయువారి వెనుకటి గుమ్మమునొద్ద ఉండవలెను, ఈ ప్రకారము మందిరమును భద్రపరచుటకై మీరు దానిని కాచుకొని యుండవలెను.

6. And another third part shal keepe the gate of Sur: And another third part shall keepe the gate which is behinde them of the garde: and so shall ye keepe the watch of the house of Messah.

7. మరియు విశ్రాంతి దినమున బయలుదేరు మీయందరిలో రెండు భాగములు రాజు దగ్గర యెహోవా మందిరమునకు కాపు కాయువారై యుండవలెను.

7. And two partes of you, that is, al that go out on the Sabbath day, shall keepe the watch of the house of the Lorde about the king.

8. మీలో ప్రతి మనిషి తన తన ఆయుధములను చేత పట్టుకొని రాజుచుట్టు కాచుకొని యుండవలెను, ఎవడైనను పంక్తులలో ప్రవే శించినయెడల వాని చంపవలెను, రాజు బయలుదేరి సంచ రించునప్పుడెల్ల మీరు అతనియొద్ద ఉండవలెను.

8. And ye shall compasse the king round about, & euery man shall haue his weapon in his hand: And whosoeuer commeth within ye ranges, let him be slaine: And see that ye be with the king as he goeth out and in.

9. శతాధి పతులు యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా తమ కిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞ లన్నిటి ప్రకారము చేసిరి, ప్రతి మనిషి తన తన మనుష్యులను తీసికొని విశ్రాంతిదినమున లోపల ప్రవేశింపవలసిన వారితోను, విశ్రాంతిదినమున బయలుదేరవలసిన వారితోను కలిసి యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా యొద్దకు వచ్చెను.

9. And the captaynes ouer the hundredes did according to all thinges that Iehoiada the priest commaunded: and they toke euery man his men that were to come in on the Sabbath day, with them that should go out on the Sabbath, and came to Iehoiada the priest.

10. యాజకుడు మందిరములో ఉన్న దావీదు ఈటెలను డాళ్లను శతాధిపతులకు అప్పగింపగా

10. And to the captaynes ouer hundredes, did the priest geue king Dauids speares and shieldes, that were in the temple.

11. కాపు కాయు వారిలో ప్రతి మనిషి తన తన ఆయుధములను చేత పట్టుకొని బలిపీఠముచెంతను మందిరముచెంతను మందిరము కుడి కొన మొదలుకొని యెడమ కొనవరకు రాజుచుట్టు నిలిచిరి.

11. And they of the garde stoode, and euery man had his weapon in his hande rounde about the king, from the ryght corner of the temple to the left, along by the aulter and the temple.

12. అప్పుడు యాజకుడు రాజకుమారుని బయటకు తోడుకొనిపోయి అతని తలమీద కిరీటము పెట్టి, ధర్మ శాస్త్రగ్రంథమును అతని చేతికిచ్చిన తరువాత వారు అతని పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేసి చప్పట్లుకొట్టిరాజు చిరంజీవియగునుగాకని చాటించిరి.

12. And he brought out the kinges sonne, and put the crowne vpon him, and delyuered him the witnesse, & made him king, & annoynted him: And they clapt their handes, and saide: God saue the king.

13. అతల్యా, కాయువారును జనులును కేకలువేయగా విని, యెహోవా మందిరమందున్న జనుల దగ్గరకు వచ్చి

13. And when Athalia heard the noyse of the running of the people, she came to the people into the temple of the Lorde.

14. రాజు ఎప్పటి మర్యాద చొప్పున ఒక స్తంభముదగ్గర నిలుచుటయు, అధిపతులును బాకా ఊదువారును రాజునొద్ద నిలువబడుటయు, దేశపు వారందరును సంతోషించుచు శృంగధ్వనిచేయుటయు చూచి తన వస్త్రములను చింపుకొనిద్రోహము ద్రోహము అని కేక వేయగా

14. And whe she looked, behold, the king stoode by a piller as the maner was, & the singers & the trumpets by the king, and all the people of the land reioysed, and blew with trumpets: And Athalia rent her clothes & cryed, treason, treason.

15. యాజకుడైన యెహో యాదా సైన్యములోని శతాధిపతులకు యెహోవా మందిరమందు ఆమెను చంపకూడదు, పంక్తుల బయటికి ఆమెను వెళ్లగొట్టుడి; ఆమె పక్షపువారిని ఖడ్గముచేత చంపుడని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను గనుక

15. But Iehoiada the priest commaunded the captaines of the hundredes that had the rule of the hoast, and saide vnto them: Haue her foorth of the ranges, & if any folowe her, kill him with the sword. For the priest had saide: she may not be slaine in the house of the Lorde.

16. రాజమందిరములోనికి గుఱ్ఱములు వచ్చు మార్గమున ఆమెకు దారి ఇచ్చిరి. ఆమె వెళ్లిపోగా వారు ఆమెను అక్కడ పట్టుకొని చంపిరి.

16. And they layde handes on her, till she came into the way by the which the horses went in to the kinges palace, and there was she slaine.

17. అప్పుడు యెహోయాదాజనులు యెహోవా వారని ఆయన పేరట రాజుతోను జనులతోను నిబంధన చేయించెను, మరియు అతడు రాజుపేరట జనులతో నిబంధన చేయించెను.

17. And Iehoiada made a bond betweene the Lorde and the king and the people, that they should be the Lordes people, and also betweene the king and the people.

18. అప్పుడు దేశపు జనులందరును బయలు గుడికి పోయి దానిని పడగొట్టి దాని బలిపీఠములను ప్రతి మలను ఛిన్నాభిన్నములుచేసి, బయలునకు యాజకుడైన మత్తానును బలిపీఠముల ముందర చంపివేసిరి. మరియు యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా యెహోవా మందిరమును కాచుకొనుటకు మనుష్యులను నియమించెను.

18. And all the people of the lande went into the house of Baal, and destroyed it, his aulters also, and his images brake they downe lustylie, and slue Mathan the priest of Baal before the aulters: And the priest set watch ouer the house of the Lorde.

19. అతడు శతాధిపతులను అధికారులను కాపుకాయువారిని దేశపు జనులందరిని పిలిపింపగా వారు యెహోవా మందిరములో నున్న రాజునుతీసికొని, కాపుకాయువారి గుమ్మపు మార్గ మున రాజనగరునకు రాగా రాజు సింహాసనముమీద ఆసీనుడాయెను.

19. And toke the rulers ouer hundredes, the captaines, and them of the gard, and all the people of the lande, and they brought the king from the house of the Lorde, and came by the way of the gate of them of the gard to the kings palace, and he sat him downe on the seate of the kinges.

20. మరియు వారు రాజనగరు దగ్గర అతల్యాను ఖడ్గముచేత చంపిన తరువాత దేశపు జనులంద రును సంతోషించిరి, పట్టణమును నిమ్మళముగా ఉండెను.

20. And all the people of the lande reioyced, and the citie was in quiet: And they slue Athalia with the sword, beside the kinges palace.

21. యోవాషు ఏలనారంభించినప్పుడు అతడు ఏడేండ్లవాడు.

21. Seuen yeres olde was Iehoas when he began to raigne.
